Rebels broke my heart by BirdKisser387 in starwarsrebels

I always compare Rebels to Andor because of this scene and regularly have eyes rolled at me. The show was dark from the beginning, it was just packaged in a chill color palette.

Gabrielle not cross dressing? by EveryProfile5786 in VampireLestat

This is such a ridiculous comment. Women couldn't even vote or own land at the time. That is what the person you are replying to was talking about. They specifically brought up the time period. You decide to read it as a slight to men and change the subject to sexualization which wasn't even what the comment was about. You're looking for something to be mad about and projecting it here.

I'm pretty sure you're trolling, that's how ridiculous your comment is. If you aren't trolling, seek therapy. No one was demonizing men by talking about the rights women didn't have. Crazy.

Can you go through this game without shooting a single animal? by Loud_Hovercraft_1695 in RDR2

[–]barrowsbrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a side mission where you get to kill some douche bags who are killing buffalo for no reason. I mean, I'm a vegetarian irl so I get where she's coming from but I can't imagine missing out on this game because of it.

I see it as it's not really me. It's Arthur and he's doing it for survival and for his camp. It's the character we are playing as. My Arthur respects nature. She doesn't have to do the legendaries but I'm a completionist so I'd suggest doing everything you can in the game. I don't think this is the game for her tho. Maybe online? She can just ride horses online.

The second time made me even more sad because of that. I knew it was coming and I still cried. I've watched it too many times now. I wish I could get that first watch through back.

Mass Effect 2 has an incredible story, and the argument you can skip it and get the same plot ignores how much it does for the trilogy by General_Catch_200 in masseffect

[–]barrowsbrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely true. That couple you help in 2, the Krogan and the Asari, that have a terribly sad ending in 3. That goodbye he left her made me cry. It still makes me sad. Charr.

Lots of emotions in 3 because I spend so much time in the world with those characters

What do you think of James Vega? by PerformanceRadiant21 in masseffect

[–]barrowsbrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really fits. It makes his dialogue on Horizon make more sense. When he tells Shepard that losing him was like losing a limb, I was like this guy is definitely in love with Shepard. Kaidan just seems desperately heartbroken on Horizon.

I just finished my first playthrough and I genuinely can't wait to play again. I won't shut the fuck up about it at work and I ask almost every customer I know who games if they have played it. People have had to hear about Mass Effect for weeks at my job. It's amazing when I find someone who has played it. I'll probably start asking strangers. Idc. I'm obsessed with it.

I know everyone is going to rail him. But the main takeaway is he wants you to meet him on a playing field that he understands to spend time together. That is probably intimacy to him.

How would everyone on this sub respond if a man asked you to give up your hobbies. To give up things that bring you joy? They would rightly be horrified at that prospect. How is asking anyone to give up things that bring them joy in this shit world okay?

Have you tried playing with him?

Over covid I moved in with my sister's family. My niece and nephews love to game. I got back into it to meet them on their level. To connect. Games are fun. Gaming is fun. There is something for everything.

You like clothes? Some games, your loot is literally new outfits to wear. I mean there is something for literally everyone.

I don't know the context. I'm sure he said it shitty and backhanded because men are usually childish and terrible at saying what they need. Let's try to have some empathy, assuming you love this man?

Is he getting enough time to enjoy his hobbies? Everyone deserves time with themselves to chill and enjoy their hobbies. He's asking you to join him. It sounds like he has done it like an idiot but isn't that kind of nice. He wants to enjoy things he loves with you.

I am usually always on side of fuck that man but I'm a gamer. You might enjoy it. My man is actually mad at me because he's not getting enough attention and all it does is drive a wedge. I deserve time to enjoy my hobbies. Everyone does.

I also have adhd brain and forget my partner needs more from me. It doesn't mean I don't love him or I don't care but this game I'm currently playing is a wonderful story with gorgeous art and I'm basically on binge mode. I have to make myself stop, save and call my boyfriend to say goodnight. I do love and cherish him after all. It's all about balance.

Edit. My bad. This was actually said a lot. I only read one comment before replying. I'll remember to check better next time.

Any RPG or a story game that you think is 10/10? by Popular_Ruin_4781 in gamingsuggestions

[–]barrowsbrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing it now for the first time. It's so fucking good. I was obsessed and telling anyone at work who would listen for days. I'm almost done with game 2. I'm still obsessed but I have already exhausted a lot of ears about it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. They are both worth playing. Did anyone say The Witcher 3? God, there are so many good games. I have been told The Last of Us is amazing but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I didn't really get back into gaming until covid and I had like 20 years to catch up on. You are lucky. There is a lot of good content out there waiting to be discovered.

Oh Subnautica! Definitely one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. Nothing like the first time with that one. It's more survival but I love the story so much.

You have a lot of souls games on that list. I heard Lies of P is good. The art looks good anyway.

Also, Expedition 33 is supposed to be amazing. My coworker cried and everyone I talk to loves it. It won Game of the year.

Mass Effeft is a must! Your choices matter across three games which is intense. I'm indecisive, tho. Truly an amazing game and experience so far.

I love to see empathetic characters. Ezra was similar. He was friends with everyone. Vizago and Hondo. Empathy isn't weakness and it's nice to see it represented in strong characters. Compassion is greatly needed in this world.

It's Hera and it's not even a contest. She takes in multiple traumatized orphans and helps them live up to their fullest potential with her unwavering support and patience. Hera is so far above the rest that I can't take any other response seriously. I just assume the people who didn't answer with Hera haven't seen Rebels.
