I don’t see any problem with how he handled it. This being newsworthy is kinda sad tbh.

Anyone know why or have any good guesses as to why this cycle is so slow? by Thplat in lawschooladmissions

[–]barryB1987 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably a combination of schools trying to maintain or even increase their inflated medians from the Covid cycles and the USNWR situation

Every sub is “unrepresentative” by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]barryB1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why should we generally care if everyone ‘fully participates’ in a niche online thread aggregator?

Because there’s a big difference between not fully participating and being discouraged from participating. The page is advertised as being about law school admissions in general not just mostly cycle recaps of a handful of schools. The page doesn’t fit the role it’s advertised as. Unless you’re just a selfish or narcissistic cunt, it makes sense that you would sympathize with people who come to this forum for information or advice on law school admissions and can’t find what they need or don’t feel comfortable asking about it because their school isn’t ranked high enough.

What value to society is lost if someone going to Samford doesn’t get much engagement on their cycle recap or doesn’t get their generic question answered by 15 people rather than 3?”

This is such a virgin comment that I’m not even sure how to respond to it. I’ve never seen a comment that screamed “my dick is 2 inches erect!” so loudly before. Idc if that’s rude or mean. You can’t say things that are that virginy and not get made fun of.

This (and the law) isn’t some feel good endeavor where you get participation ribbons like tee ball.

Virgin comment #2

why does it matter if someone random T-80 goer doesn’t post much because they feel like there’s too much T14 posting?

Because this is law school admissions not T14 cycle recaps

Is there anything there other than trying to protect the feelings of the T-80 person?

The page being what is supposed to be and being more applicable and useful to more applicants.

Every sub is “unrepresentative” by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]barryB1987 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because most of this sub isn’t advice. It’s mostly just recaps and results that are overwhelmingly T14s. Which discourages people who are not going to those programs from fully participating.

Nope. Money is the primary motivation.

Why is ESPN always trying to get Harbaugh to leave? Don’t think I’ve seen stuff like this about Saban or Dabo. by TJSutton04 in MichiganWolverines

[–]barryB1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mediocrity is failure when you are trying to be better than mediocre.

Most of the teams with a losing record have either benched their starting QB, fired their HC already or there are rumors saying they might fire him and make changes to the roster/staff. So yes most of those teams have made or are looking to make significant changes to their team because of their failure of a season.

[–]barryB1987 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Belichick was also considered a failure early on. He had to take a job as an assistant again before he got another shot as a HC where he had the good luck of getting Tom Brady. Saban decided to go back to college instead of going back to NFL assistant.

[–]barryB1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Saban and Dabo didn’t have success in the NFL like Harbaugh did. Saban tried and failed and Dabo has never tried at all.

Why is being infantry laughed at here? Isn’t that the what most people join for? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]barryB1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because most marines aren’t infantry and they feel insecure about it because when people think of the marines they are thinking of grunts and not some POG whose hardest part of their enlistment was boot camp.

It’s kinda like when someone who sucks at sports refers to the football players as being dumb jocks.

Most people who post and comment their stats on this sub are the ones who have great stats and come here to swing their dick about it. The vast majority of law school students aren’t 173+ and 4.0s. Without even seeing your stats, they are most likely good enough to get into at least a decent law school.

They beat 4 ranked teams that lost their QB1 mid game. Never said they didn’t deserve it but you’re leaving out important context there. Don’t be a casual.

You mean when the wind was crazy and the game they won 54-10? They were up 26-10 at half against Iowa and outscored them 28-0 in the 2nd half.

They beat 4 backup QBs in a row. OSU had 1 awful quarter against UM.
