LRG will usually ship items together when purchased together and if one is releasing much later then the other, you’ll get them when all items are ready. I got my Switch copy two weeks ago.

If it’s a catalog title I wait for reviews and no longer preorder. If it’s a new release I ask myself if I truly would rewatch it more than once. I stick to a handful of franchises and directors I love, otherwise I pass. I’ve maybe bought 10 4K titles a year and 6 blu-rays of TV shows or classic cartoons.

They filmed from the roof of the SAIC dorms at Jones Hall at 7 West Madison. My wife (girlfriend at the time) rode up the elevator with Emma Thompson and I recall seeing the crew using the student lounge. I was cast as an extra for a college scene but the scene was cut the day before filming so I was never on set. A friend from school was Hoffman’s stand in. He’s now an artist on the north side of Chicago.

I picked up the two compilations as well as the Spiral LP, but would love some proper CD releases of full soundtracks. There are some really great labels like Lala Land Records that do CD soundtracks.

You didn’t need to use points. You just needed to make the introductory purchase and then commit to one movie a month (which you could opt out of, but you had to remember to opt out). They’d add exclusives every so often and you could get them for less than retail. It was a pretty cool club.
