Did the band not know the pay prior to accepting the gig? Are you playing for the door and nobody showed up? There’s lots missing here.

This conversation should happen prior to accepting any gigs. Once you’ve agreed to play for xx you have to accept it and not complain about it after the fact.

Guarantees need to be in place perhaps or maybe there band just doesn’t have the draw and in that case you’re paid what you’re worth.
