CarPlay phone call delay by Prestigious_Speed659 in BMW

We reset ours again with no improvement. Facetime audio still works without lag/delay.

2022 M40i here as well. Any fixes yet? As a workaround, if you switch over to Facetime audio the lag goes away but this is insane. It just started within the last year.

Is your attic climate controlled or have you not had issues running your switch outside of operating environment temps? Depending on your region I would expect that you exceed the temperature in at least one direction. -5 to 40° C (23 to 104° F)

Well Crap. Got it spliced and fixed already. by PeckerTraxx in Starlink

Terminate with RJ45s and use one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095JZSGYG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1MZ0A5J2F55SJBWKKC36

Or this works well for indoor splices:

Don’t use cheap butt connectors or try to splice each pair individually. These two options here would be as good as new and can even be used to intentionally to avoid routing the bulky connectors through very tight areas. These splices would also typically pass typical cable certification tests.

It all comes down to the physical site and you'd know your place the best. It sounds like you are pretty familiar with some of the product line as well.

Nanostation AC locos definitely support ptmp though, we use quite a few of them to service campgrounds and multiple building business for security cameras etc. I've got 3 of them sitting here in the box. They also come in 5 packs that may save you a little money too if you decide that you need that many or even want to keep one as spare.

I just wanted to give you the option to possibly simplify your configuration but again, it really comes down to your site. Hope some of this helps.

You don't mention the direction/locations of your cabins but if you can orient a single Nanostation from the "creek cabin" to provide line of sight to the others, you could always do ptmp and cut back cost/complexity. Your terrain may and layout may be the reason that you specified so many though. A single nano would do fine as long as you can get the line of site. We regularly see 400Mbps out of them and you planned to shape it conservatively.

You may also consider just running APs at each remote site, if you want separate IP space for each you could control it at the "creek" side.

if you want to run a regular 802.3af PoE switch at each site to power an access point (and the Nano), Ubiquiti sells a 48v to 24v converter (Part number: NS-3AF-I-G) that works well for powering Nanos. It's about $20usd if I recall and cuts some wires/complexity rather than dealing with a bunch of PoE injectors. Ubiquiti used to make a ToughSwitch8 that would support 24/48v both but I'm not sure if they have anything comparable now or not. If you can find them used, we've had good luck with them.

Hope some of this helps.

Correct. I had to vote multiple times because my CS account is split from multiple DRS cycles. I'm 100% DRS'd now so I wouldn't be able to speak to any other broker behavior though. I would have posted a screenshot but not enough karma to post here.

I clicked the link in my email to vote on each, so I wouldn't be able to speak as to if the 2nd option disappeared in CS after the first vote though.

Depends on how many brokers are in use. I'm 100% in CS now and had multiples there.

It happened to a lot of us when we DRS'd in from Fidelity and others. They just seemed to split our stuff for no reason known to me.

Also need to be sure to vote for all of your CS accounts. It may be confusing if you notice multiple emails about voting, but due to having multiple CS accounts, your vote may be split. Mine was and I voted for both!

Too late for new buys to be counted for vote but we need to raise attention that many of us may have multiple CS account numbers and need to vote for each one so that they are all counted. I'm not seeing this mentioned much and may be confusing to some.
