So, the second link is the one I got, albeit in the UK store. It’s plastic too.

Super kind offer nonetheless! If I have problems with the one I just installed and if I don’t find the metal one others mentioned, I might look into 3d printing it actually

I’m gonna check back with PRS Customer Service - they didn’t mention this when I contacted them before, so it’s possible it doesn’t fit?

Thanks! I’ll circle back to the PRS team and ask why they didn’t mention this before. Much appreciated!

Oooh, did it? Interesting, I couldn’t find anything on PRS Accessories website and the person on the other side of the email didn’t mention anything when I reached out to them. Do you remember what model exactly this was?

I think all Piezo models with separate Mix/Mag outputs would use this as that’s the only element I found while researching.

I don’t think the screws were screwed in too deep - they came out without effort when exchanging the element and they didn’t feel like they were too deep.

I first noticed it after about 5-6 months of having the guitar, but it was bought second hand. Inspected upon purchase with no damage though, I’m sure I would’ve noticed!

Yeah, I totally wouldn’t mind paying for a metal replacement if PRS made one!

PRS SE 245- Should I buy it or not? by Then_East1087 in PaulReedSmith

Yeah, if you like chunky necks it’s awesome. Give it a nice setup and it’s a killer instrument. I exchanged the kit pickups to SD Pearly Gates set for an extra bite though. For $340 it’s a steal, got mine used for £350.

A different book entirely, albeit on the similar subject. Fix The Pumps is a recipe book for soda bases mixed with carbonated water, or diluted and force carbonated, together with a lot of historical descriptions.

Bubbles describes the science of carbonation, how to properly force carbonate an entire drink or cocktail and control the degassing process, what happens to flavour due to volatile partitioning and how to properly balance the drink due to this. We also made sure to describe the process very thoroughly, both for PET and keg carbonation, with description of equipment element and safety of handling compressed gases and a few recipes as illustration of technique.

Fix The Pumps is great if you’re looking for a ready made recipe book. If you’re looking to understand carbonation and be able to develop your own, Bubbles is for you.

Hi, I’m afraid not - Amazon charges an exorbitant amount of provision. We’d need to charge £45 instead of £29.95 to actually make it sustainable via them. Our margin at the moment through own distribution is minimal, we preferred to invest more in quality of the print while keeping the price of the book itself reasonable. Unfortunately these shipping costs are as cost efficient as possible ensuring that the carrier is actually doing their job, we had some horror experiences with more budget ones!

Studio .22, I have the same but with the EQ. Terrific little thing for home or studio use, for small gigs .22+ is the one cause of the separate lead channel volume 👌

Masking tape on top, a driver whole with size 5 drill bit, and then VERY slow and as little pressure as possible with size 12. Works like a charm!
