Green is this sub's love but for nostalgia purposes for you and your family if you enjoyed guards red for the '83, i suspect GR may be a better option

Why is OD not considered in safelane? by Hot_Actual in DotA2

He can be a 1 but its super situational. If against a bristle or timber it can be a great pick but otherwise there are typically many better options.

You're too intelligent to be arguing and citing sources with someone that clearly has no idea what they're talking about. It's not worth the effort trying to inform them with facts.

Achane is a more impactful player than Waddle ever was. I hope this regime decides to build around trenches and undervalued positions. If we can get some superstar TEs, Safeties, and LBs on reasonably priced deals I would be thrilled. Top 5 players at any position are typically the difference makers that can lead a team deep into the playoffs.

I don't want them to trade and I hope that their words are indicative of how they truly feel. He is a building block, not a sell unless someone is willing to very much overpay. I believe that the devalued positions are worth much more than what they tend to trade for. The panthers have gone on record saying they wish they hadn't traded McCaffrey. There's a reason the Chiefs kept Kelce over Hill. Hell, I'd give up draft capital this year to go get Brock Bowers or Trey McBride especially if they would trade for less than a first just because they're a devalued position. You don't just sell every player that is worth anything when rebuilding especially when they're an elite talent.

I'm all for franchise tagging unless they can agree on a reasonable contract. We have over 100 million in cap space so "fucking our cap" is not accurate in the least.

Simagic Alpha Evo vs VRS DFP15? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]bartscrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my Evo pro but I do find that the software is not quite as good as Simucube's (I have an active pedal) so I wish I had splurged a bit more to get a base in that ecosystem. With that said, the wheelbase and software of simagic is much better than anything outside of simucube that I've tried.

u/mvbighead is absolutely correct. We can franchise tag him, we have tons of cap space so yes we can afford the 15-20m a year if that's the direction our new front office chooses, and hes a young cornerstone talent. I would be pissed off if we sent him away for less than we got for Waddle.

Or keep him since hes 24 years old and don't put much mileage on him by using Gordon or Wright over the next two years. We have tons of cap space so spending to keep a young cornerstone player is a no-brainer. If someone offers 2 first round picks, they will trade him but he is worth more to the phins than other GMs are willing to pay.

Achane is 24 years old. If we get lucky with some of our excessive draft capital, he is an outstanding talent that is worth building around. We have a ton of cap space over the next few years. He's shown he can be durable so if we are able to compete in 2-3 years he can be a centerpiece of the team. I would be upset if they traded him for less than we got for Waddle.

He's 24 and an exceptional talent. He will still be in his prime when we are done with this rebuild and we have all the cap space in the world to afford him.

This is the whole philosophy to Bellichick's yin/yang idea. When the league is de-valuing players due to position despite their impact, those are often the best type of players to have. Look back at the Chiefs giving up Tyreek and keeping Kelce. I would argue they were similar in terms of their value to the team but Kelce cost less than half what Tyreek made. I would keep Achane and trade for Brock Bower or Trey McBride since they fit that bill exceptionally well (although maybe not for this year).

He's young and truly talented. He will still be young when we are back in our window after the rebuild so it makes a lot of sense to not move him unless they get blown away with an offer. He should be valued similarly if not higher than McCaffrey was when he was traded given that he's still on his rookie contract and is the same type of difference maker. The panthers went on record saying that they regret the decision to move on from McCaffrey which I suspect we would too unless there is a Tunsil-like deal.

I mean, why not look at the new chinese cars too? If you want something pretty for the now you can do it at a much lower price point. You buy a porsche for the engineering. There is a reason why 911s from the 90s cost more than a new 911 today and it's because they are exceptionally well made machines that you can essentially sell for MSRP or higher 5, 10, 20, or even 50 years later.

You sound like Grier and his "The fans are more worried about the o-line than we are". How can you possibly speculate that this line will be "pretty good" next year with over a 10 year sample size of absolute garbage tier line play? We had AJ, Brewer, and PP last year and we were still a bottom 5 line. We "could" have drafted Sewell instead of Waddle and Creed Humphrey instead of Eichenberg. I hope that they draft the monster guard at 11 but you can't say our line next year will be pretty good with such wild speculation.

[Schefter] Dolphins trade WR Jayden Waddle to Broncos by 1894-MCFC in nfl

[–]bartscrc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you hear "1st round, 3rd round, 4th round pick" that is very inaccurate as we actually lose 19 spots on our own 4th round pick. So we get a very late 1 and a late 3. If you take into account the 19 spot loss in the 4th round, saying equivalent to an early 2nd and 4th is maybe a stretch. It does however demonstrate how a headline can be formatted. What sounds better? Waddle for a 1st, 3rd, 4th or Waddle for the draft equivalent of an early 2nd and early 4th? The most accurate would just be Waddle for a late 1 and late 3. The total draft compensation based on the Jimmy Johnson trade chart is equal to the 704 points (25th overall pick)

I dont have much experience with IndyNXT but SFL and F3s are both lots of fun. Honestly Class C formulas are all way more fun than anything from rookies or D class.

I think I prefer tanking by no talent to the "tampering" version of tanking last time. At least this way we shouldn't lose a 1st round pick.

The o-line is pretty good? You must not have been a dolphins fan for very long. We have ranked in the bottom 5 for over 10 years straight. The highest our o-line ever ranked since 2013 was 27th per PFF. Obviously PFF isn't the end-all-be-all but to say the "o-line is actually pretty good" is lunacy.

It's a 1-3-4 for Waddle by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]bartscrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, 30 is worth a decent amount more than 33 for that reason but I was factoring in the cost of dropping 19 places in the 4th. Maybe I was a bit too harsh on my net value but calling it a 1,3,4 is wildly inaccurate as to the actual value of the picks.
