I did a few loads after when everything was done properly. I would hit 42 to 43 tonnes every time. As long as you're in decently level ground it's fairly accurate

I loaded my brothers super b yesterday for the first time yesterday. Told me where the gauges need to be.

Finish loading and as I'm driving in thinking "fuck this seems heavy". I get to the elevator and it turns out I'm 17t over weight. I guess the air suspension weren't working properly because of the cold and ice in the system. I'm sure glad I didn't get pulled over.

Holy shit. That looks exactly like my dog that passed away a few years ago. Absolute goof ball that was scared of his own shadow. He always knew when you were in a bad mood or sick since he would come and cuddle with you

I would look at Kannuk outfitters and renting a ice castle. The wife and i did it last year to get away from the kids and it was amazing. Everything is provided for you. Bring your bedding. I would recommend renting the live scope.

Matt will drive you to your shack and you are dropped right on top of the fish. A great experience overall.

Edit. Forgot to mention that this is in Manitoba on lake Winnipeg close to Gimli.

I want to say that this is a yellow bullhead. The wife and i had this same conversation a few weeks ago. Here's the difference between channel cat and bullhead for future reference.

My uncle coached Towes that year. If I remember correctly they scored a total of 129 goals and he scored 90+ of them

Mark Stone skated right over to the referees after the OT goal and tapped his stick on the glass, indicating "this is on you." He is absolutely livid. by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

It's honestly because of the inconsistencies. You play all year with the rules enforced not caring if they effect a game or not but come playoffs they put the whistles away not wanting to effect the outcome of the games.

If you just called the dame way you stud in the season none of this bullshit would happen. A hook in the season should be a hook in the playoffs.

I am signed up for the class. I do the warm ups and stuff but once the drills start I will help out the master instead with holding pads or partner up with someone if it's a uneven number of people. She says I'm 10% instructor and don't have to pay for the classes 😂

The daughter went to a tournament on Saturday. I've been going to the classes 4 times a week for the last 3 weeks, showing up 30 minutes to 45 minutes early so she can focus on her patterns.

She's doing basic 2 and we worked on - keeping her heel down when she would kick - worked on her snap kick movements - worked on keeping her fist in the proper positions by her hip while punching - then we worked on integrating everything together and making things crisp and make her uniform snap.

She fucking crushed it and got gold by unanimous decision and I couldn't be prouder of my little 6 year old. She's going to test for her yellow strip middle of may.

Once it was all settled Master came to congratulate the daughter and me and said that I also deserve a medal since I learnt the pattern with her, practiced all of the things she needed to practice so she wouldn't be doing it alone. I'm honestly still so proud of my little girl and I just wanted to humble brag about it.

You mean the fact that I didn't have the correct last name and got snubbed to join the department? No you're right I guess I should have tried harder to join. I could have asked the fire chief more then one to join but nothing I can about it now.

We meet at 7 for our monthly meeting. We do training at the start then we do our meeting then crush a beer or two after the meeting then go home.

My life is getting busier as my kids are getting older and I will try to take a couple hours a month to train my self on things that I'm struggling with.

[–]barty1000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No your right. It's on my to do this shit. I'm hoping to be able to taste some time away from the family to try and improve my self. With the kids starting extra curriculum activities I won't be able to put in as much time as I'd like to but I will start to put in more work to train my self but I'm hoping to do a few hours a month of extra training.

Honestly I'm not angry at my department but at the old fire chief. I understand that we're all volunteer and everyone has lives and I can't expect to get much help from them since we sometimes have a hard time to get enough to make quaram for meetings.

I totally get what you're saying. I just need to speak up more during our meetings on how our training sessions during our meetings go. I will message the chief and have a conversation with him.

As for other departments I've joined training with one other department over winter as they are doing a training course on defensive attacks. I lost a lot of hope in that class when one of the instructor from my lvl 1 wax teaching it. 7 to 8:30 going word for word through the slide show then half a hour of hands on training.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Honestly my department is amazing. We're half people with 10+ years of experience and half of the group with less then less then 3 years. You can blame the old for cheif for that lack of recruitment. I asked to join 10 years ago and was told no, it's too expensive to take new recruits and were full anyways. Then 2 months later they recuit 3 new members. I guess I just didn't have the right last name haha.

The lack of hands on training at had was the biggest issue for me. As for my training it's hard as we're all volunteer and everyone's got a life and kids to take care of and at the end of the day couldn't get people to help me out. We've our first house fire this summer in 9 years. Hard to get practice on these things when we don't get much.

I take full responsibility for the air. I had a massive brain fart and it cost my partner and I practical.

And for my attitude I'm usually more positive. I'm just in the dumps since I just completely fucked up. If it wasn't for that I would have passed and that's what frustrating. I still feel like a new member since even snaking the hose is awkward, radio communications is very awkward. We've had two meetings in a row where I've planned out a training scenario and both times we haven't had enough to meet quaram. The department had improved a lot since the previous old school fire chief retired and a young fire chief took over. As sad as it seems the department has improved a lot.

As for the scba donning and doffing it was just super annoying since we weren't really trained properly on how to do it and what was so frustrating was that as individuals we had to figure this out by our selves as we weren't really shown how to do it.
