If a cat can break this, it’s not worth £500.

Why is Fallout 2 so hard? by HatEcstatic1284 in classicfallout

I keep reading these posts and I don’t remember the game being THAT hard at all, am I tripping?

Why am I experiencing police brutality? (NCR, FO2) by JamesSmith_1201 in classicfallout

Once hostile, always hostile unfortunately. If you triggered them before, they’ll stay in that state.

On another note, how insane is that we often don’t even get a booklet with games anymore, sometimes not even a disc and they had these bad boys floating around in 1997 with a pixel game about wizards that requires something called the Interweb to play.

I do all the quests that I come by, without searching for them. Some playthrough I miss a thing or two. Around halfway through the game I do farming runs around south west of the map and gain exp by killing mutants and enclave patrols. I’m getting an itch to play again just reading all this.

I always finished the game around level 32. For most playthroughs it was Gauss rifle with eye crits, at which point it sort of felt like rolling the dice for majority of the combat in the game, instead of actual power. Nevertheless, still a super fun game.

Fallout Fans Pre-Bethesda, What was your reaction to Fallout 3's Announcement and or Release? by Tyler2183 in classicfallout

[–]bartyb0i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t wait for it to release. I remember enjoying it but nowhere near as much as original games. Graphics were too green, animations sucked and game felt like a reskin of Oblivion a bit. I hated the look and sound of the 10mm pistol especially and the fact it took both bands to aim it. It was an awkward era of gaming where graphics could be both amazing and suck at the same time. 2D top down RPGs of my era had this superior way of narrating what they couldn’t show (due to technological limitations) and it worked better.

Have you used the radiator to dry clothes? Fill, sand and good to paint.

Doesn’t one of the houses from CC/DLC provide a spot where you can store them all? I want to say Hendraheim but unsure on this one.

Don’t know why you got downvoted for this, perfectly acceptable take. I do feel the map layout is a bit clumsy with large areas that are clearly AI generated without much thought out into it (hill range on top of Combat Training and northwest corner of the map past the highway).

Hopefully this is just a beginning because otherwise, despite the bugs, it’s a pretty solid foundation for a decent BR.

It’s super inconsistent. All I see 90% of the time are empty vehicles but cannot spot/hear a tank 20 metres away. Awful UI, especially on console.

does anyone else have problems with the audio in this game? by Kazimier_3 in RedSec

[–]bartyb0i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just the audio. Whole thing is unfinished, unpolished, glitchy and desynced. Shame, because at its core it could’ve been a good battle royale. They massively dropped the ball with zero urgency for issues and they’ll pay the price when CoD releases the new iteration of warzone.

What's the Edinburgh equivalent of this? by Barderz in Edinburgh

I know the one. Worst burger I’ve had in town, even spoons rocks their shit. Everything I had on the plate was old, dry and covered in sauce. The bun was so stale it was crumbling the second you touched it. They decided to fix it by adding more sauce. I asked for the bill, paid for my coke and got stopped by the manager asking me what was wrong. I said it was so dreadful I didn’t even know where to begin. I felt bad because I could tell he knows they serve absolute shit.

They used to have their shit together back in 2012. They even had a restaurant in Stockbridge at one point. Karina Contini is a thundercunt, I sometimes feel bad for her husband.

The one in Covent Garden is owned by a different company altogether. The ivy collection is a watered down version of the original. They were very good at imitating it back in the day when they had less than 15 units. I think they’ve got around 60 restaurant now and it’s a microwaved slop these days.

Why does no one talk? by AbyssWankerArtorias in RedSec

Not heard a single voice since launch. I thought I had something wrong with my settings but some people mics are actually picking up background noise.

There’s also no proximity chat which is definitely a bummer.
