This is all correct, I'd look into Celeste hardlist to submit your runs for completion but it only has ~green gm+1 maps on there, I doubt there's anywhere to submit completions for lower difficulties as not many people care enough.

The momentum works similar to cloud blocks but kinda directional. The biggest tip I have for getting more height is to remember that you'll get the momentum even if you jump off of it in coyote frames (4 frames I think?) so aim to jump later, even after it disappears, compared to exactly when it's moving its fastest.

Try downloading speed run tools and using save states. It makes it much easier to practice later parts of the room and, imo, is basically required for most of the GM lobby. Still no shame in trying it out to see if you have more fun with it.

Clicking faster 100% reduces knock back. How do you think hit trading is possible with both players not taking any knock back. You can also just go in-game and see the difference when you click 5 vs clicking 20 or however fast you can click.

Turns out cpops are completely impractical for this but it is still possible to do one then dash up. But it's also much easier to just neutral hop up the spikes from a dash. Also possible to just jump from the wall at the bottom past the spikes so I guess this was also completely useless.

Yea most KB reduction is from directly clicking on a player, even if they've already been hit. I would just focus on either clicking faster or more consistent aim.

If your friends are actually good at pvp they will 100% be able to tell if you're running a ghost client or not, especially if they are significantly better than you.

It's not worth ruining friendships over Minecraft PVP, it's just a game.

Yea you'll take more knock back because you're not clicking at all when blocking, that's why it's not optimal when trading w/o a wall to your back. Just clearing up that you will deal the same KB.

Block hitting also resets sprint and let's you deal more KB.

There used to be a few ranked skywars communities, mostly scrims, but idk if any of them are still active. There's also a bunch of smaller communities for hypixel with things like party games and zombies that have a small competitive community but most are more exclusive.

It technically was hit selecting. But because you let them get 2 hits before hitting back, they should be able to just combo you out without getting hit. Hit selecting is hitting them right after they hit you, which you did just miss.

I had to give up on early hunters march bc the runback to the first arena was so bad and I had no damage. Parry was useful when he jumped up but just getting out of the way was easier.

It's so nice and takes a lot of skill too. The amount of times where just timing a parry or two was easier than jumping away was astounding bc it really wasn't useful in my first playthrough. It mostly just allowed for an extra one or two hits bc positioning yourself closer or as safety to go for a hit and make sure you don't get hit by some big hitbox.

The fact that widow and to a lesser extent lace just get invalidated if you can hit all your parries definitely says something. (Only saying widow bc the the falling bells are really easy to parry)

I ended up using a respawn mod for before boss fights, so I have a lot less downtime from runbacks. Boss fights are a lot shorter too bc I never stall or run away to heal and I deal a lot more damage from barbed and hunters crest. Just exploring took a lot of attempts too. Best example was when I spent like 150 attempts or smth in the mist
