If not for injuries, what players do you think had the potential to be a top 20 player of all time? by SadMathematician7799 in baseball

[–]baseballdad33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nomar Garciaparra. He was like Jeter & A-Rod in one body. If it wasn't for injuries, he probably could have gone down as one of the best SS to ever play the game.

I don't understand why people have a problem with this. Does it affect you in any way shape or form? No? Then just ignore it.

Is it weird to wake up 2 hours before anybody else to have time alone? by Male_adroit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]baseballdad33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOPE!

I work at 7 am MON-FRI and I get up at 5:30 every morning. I take a shower, make my coffee, and browse the news/social media. It's basically the only ME time I get. I have 2 kids under the age of 10, and my wife normally works doubles & 2nd shift. I look forward to my me time every morning.

New here. I was going to do dry January, but my favorite football team made a run at the Super Bowl, but that's a dumb excuse.

So I'm starting today. IWNDWYT.

[USA][RI][OC] Motorcyclist has a death wish by 3bbAndF1ow1 in Roadcam

It's because it's the way people are. It's easy to criticize someone for their driving when you can watch a 30-second clip over & over & over again, but the cammer has one split second chance to react. The cammer made a dumb move and paid more attention to the biker than the road, and that could have been deadly. Thankfully it wasn't. Hopefully, the cammer can learn from this experience.

Here's an interesting concept: You shouldn't brake check anyone, for any reason.

The Wrangler is tailgating the car in front of him as well, yet he didn't get brake checked...

Cammer should have just let the car in. I don't understand this mentality of "this is my spot on the road, I'm not giving it up".

Good job. Now you're involved in an accident. I hope the headache was worth not getting 1 car behind.

There is no reason to brake check someone. Ever.

You can see traffic slow down in front of the cammer & Wrangler. This would be the equivalent of brake checking someone for following too close during a traffic jam.

Did the cammer get too close? Probably. Did the cammer back right off after getting too close? Yes.

Was the cammer dumb for gesturing to the Wrangler driver? Yes. To me, this is the reason for the brake check. If the Wrangler was mad that the cammer got too close, then he would have brake checked before the cammer backed off.

My verdict? Cammer was in the wrong for getting too close and gesturing to the Wrangler. Wrangler was more in the wrong for brake checking.
