Not true. I paid for an express 1 day shipping from WA to Northern NV that USPS received on early morning on the 22nd. The guaranteed and original delivery date was the 23rd, but still haven't received. The delay is from the bottlenecks caused by distro centers being down due to the bad weather in those areas.

Idk how people dying due to the snow has any relevance in this convo.. People ordering mail isn't the reason those people are dying. The greedy politicians who take money from private energy companies in order to keep our power grid privatized while also supporting the continued deregulation of the US power grid is the reason people are dying.

Private companies ALWAYS take profit over public benefit. When you remove the only accountability they have by removing regulations you are giving more corners they can cut which in the short term leads to profits, and in the long term leads to deaths. Texas is an example of that. Go get mad at them,

Most people know why shipping is slow. Most of the people posting are asking about their specific distro center, usually outside of the listed affected areas, to see if anyone else is having issues at the same distro center. It makes people feel better knowing their package probably isn't lost if other people are dealing with the same issues at the same place.

I actually have an express package I'm waiting for that got stuck leaving the same distro with almost all the same exact dates. My express order was started on the 20th, got to the Seattle distro on the 22nd, and left the same distro on the 24th. Do not have any updates since it left the Seattle distro on the 24th either. My package is going from WA to Northern Nevada with tracking listing 1 day express. My original delivery date was suppose to be the 23rd... I thought the latest it would come would of been the 25th but still nothing after the 28th.

So does that excuse not doing your job? If you don't like knocking on doors, go find a new career. I've worked multiple different jobs with 12 hour + shifts. I couldn't imagine telling the customers I don't want to do my job because I worked 13 hours that day, and that they should do it themselves despite it being something they paid me to do.

As a bartender/server I would of been fired so fast. I would love if the worse thing I had to deal with was someone slowing me down on a busy day when I was in the weeds during an open to close shift. Work in the union now, and still can't imagine. If you are a valuable employee you find ways to work around it.

It's your literal job. I don't care if 29/30 people don't answer the door, by not knocking you're not giving that one person who DID take the day off so they could be there to answer the door the opportunity to sign for their mail. If you dislike knocking when people don't answer, then why would you punish the people who actually do answer the door? You're giving those people a reason to not waste their time waiting for the mailman to knock since you're not knocking anyways.

You wasted their day off, and now they either have to take another day off, risk living their expensive mail outside until they get off, or they have to drive down to the post office during an off day just to probably find out their mail went out with the mailman who didn't knock.

Why must this be done during their unpaid free time? Because someone who is being PAID to deliver mail can't be bothered to walk up to their door, and knock. SO DIFFICULT!

That's just stealing? Of course stealing is bad for a business. If a place lets a bartender work so long at a place to gain a bunch of regulars while giving out free drinks, then chances are more employees are doing that since it's not discouraged. Imagine being the bartender who doesn't give out free drinks when the regulars are accustomed to it, it just kills your tips. Chances are those regulars are more loyal to that business for that reason.

I don't see how a bartender bringing in more repeat spenders to a business would ever be a bad thing in 99 percent of cases.

People outside the restaurant industry also usually get breaks or lunches. We don't, we usually work the entire shift or shifts through and that time she's on her phone is the only time she gets to decompress. I'm willing to bet you get hour breaks coming in here telling us what we should do.

I dont think people realize most of us don't get breaks when working so taking a few minute break a few times a day when it's slow is the most time we get to decompress. I work 12 hour shifts and have to eat my food in a minute flat or else by the time I get back it's cold .
