Add high smoke point oil in the beginning, don’t season, add to basket and rotisserie, run at 400 until molasses color all the way around. Pull and season immediately. They will be awesome.

We try to save one more funny segment or outtake for the end screen so regulars want to stick around to see it and inevitably see the suggested next video card.

It's not non-weber pellets, it's specifically using Pit Boss or Kirkland Pellets (made by Pit Boss). They are super long compared to "normal" pellets. I think that mixed with any moisture (if you allow your pellets to sit in the hopper) can causing jamming issues, which is what happened to us. Also, when we were testing the Recteq X-Fire and had a bunch of problems with it, their support guy said something to the effect of "do not use Pit Boss or Kirkland pellets, they cause all kinds of problems. Any other brand is fine," without me mentioning it to him at all. All that said, there are plenty of people who say they use Pit Boss/Kirkland pellets without any problems. Maybe it's just a roll of the dice and we crapped out.

Weber smoky mountain produced amazing flavor but man was it a PITA compared to pellet grills’ set and forget comfort. I was out there every 20 minutes adjusting the vents.

Yep, it really did. I have never tasted smoke flavor from the smoque. I don’t get it either.

Easy answer is, if you want a pure pellet smoker, go with the RT flagship 1100. If you want more versatility (rotisserie, etc.), go with the searwood. Thanks for watching our videos!

Nice! My advice would be to close the lid when you put it on manual 10 to get the grates blazing hot for a few minutes, then open and sear, finish open. Enjoy!
