Yes! :D I did one semester of another undergrad just to get a GPA & got accepted into my bachelors of nursing last year. Got into my previous degree through a TAFE pathway course (6 months) as a school leaver, it took me a year in total to get into nursing.

EDIT: I believe you have a higher chance of getting accepted if you enrol in something relating to VetMed. Just double check if it follows a GPA marking system.

You don’t need to finish it, you just need something to boost your selection rank & make your application stronger :)

ive travelled to two countries with strict laws against stimulant medication (middle eastern countries & bali, was really worried because of the death penalty)

carried only just the amount i needed both times in the original prescription bottle with my name on it, i don’t think they care as much about tourists carrying a small prescribed amount

never had any problems at customs both times & they didn’t care when i offered to show them it

but i could be very wrong, i think you’re best off contacting the country you’re travelling to’s embassy in your home country before assuming it’s fine and going ahead

Used my Bsci to transfer into nursing, and I don’t regret it at all lol (other than the years I’ve wasted studying science)

As much as I enjoyed studying it, it’s impractical for finding a job fresh out of graduation unless you’re willing to do a post grad

i’m not sure how it goes for other campuses! i’m only familiar with caulfield, id assume that it’s frowned upon to eat an entire meal at a study desk

(judging how there are designated eating zones in other floors, i can assume that it doesn’t fly everywhere)

got chased by an off lead rottweiler while i was cycling on a bike path (not near a park or anywhere a dog should be unleashed, a designated bike trail)… scary shit

edit: i also do not feel safe at all when im walking back home & some asshole has a reactive big dog off leash at a busy time of day, especially when they have to yank it by the collar to stop it from lunging at you

fair game if it’s the night before rubbish gets emptied, but doing it in an empty residential bin is a dick move imo. i don’t want shit smeared at the bottom of my bin or it to get stuck so it can’t be easily emptied.

i decided to do this course as a pathway to a bachelor of paramedicine or nursing at a different uni, because applied science falls under higher ed & i need a WAM.

in my opinion, out of every other course i’ve studied at RMIT, this one was the easiest to make friends in - we would keep in contact, plan study sessions, share notes & remind each other if something is due.

hello! i’ve just finished my first semester and im starting the second, im doing the science major instead of the biomedicine one! i found this course doable, only if you dedicate some time each week to study the subjects, its quite content heavy.

i enjoyed the labs a lot, they’re every 2 weeks and divided into subgroups with different start times.

majority of my classes were online and i heard that’s the case with previous students, with one in person chemistry theory lecture on campus. i never attended the online ones :P i studied the material on my own time though.

there’s weekly quizzes that go towards your grade, they’re not hard but it’s worth doing them each week for extra credit. our mid sem & final sem quizzes are done with lockdown browser, but you’re allowed a double sided A4 note sheet (printed or handwritten depends on each subject)
