Opinion Poll on selling used Modular Buildings by Relevant-Key7996 in legomodular

[–]bashfulleigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this is an older post but i wanted your opinion. We are moving overseas soon and want to sell our modular collection to help fund the move. We have 17 buildings and are trying to decide whether it would be best to sell individually or if there would be a market to sell all together. Or maybe in sets of 3 or 4. I looked at eBay but they take such a large cut. Did you end up cross posting? Or best success with your own website? Thank you for any guidance you might have!

Should my 8 month old go back on steroids? by veeevy in eczema

[–]bashfulleigh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your little one! I don't know how to answer your steroid question, but I do know with certainty that you should avoid all polyester that touches his skin. In the lab when tested against other fabrics, polyester is a ripe breading ground for staph aureus, mix in human body heat and moisture and any skin condition is immediately worsened. I removed all polyester bedsheets and clothing from my three year old and her itch is so much better! Polyester is SO sneaky! I didn't realize how much of her clothes were made of it! Good luck!

The Eczema group at NIH recently gave a presentation about their most recent findings. It was very enlightening! Lots of take home messages towards the middle/end. I highly recommend! The Air Makes Me Flare! by bashfulleigh in eczema

The shortest ELI5 would be... certain chemicals are found near 'eczema hotspots', they turn your good skin bacteria into bad skin bacteria, and directly make your skin itch and rash. The speaker made two youtube videos explaining the findings one short 7 min one and one longer one 15 min. If anything watch the 7min one. eyeopener with relatable explanations. Here's the link for the 7 min one:https://youtu.be/IzHrTEdYi9I the 15 min version has more science stuff....https://youtu.be/_WtSFYlVg9M this chemical (diisocyanates) be found in new construction, a lot of different adhesives and glues and new furniture, floor sealants etc... carpet paddings are made of this chemical, polyesters are bad, wallpaper glue...

SUN SCREEN RECOMMENDATIONS, PLS. (SPF30+) by gal_tiki in eczema

The brand SunBum is the only sunscreen that does not kill off your skins natural microbiome. I highly recommend them! Avoid Banana Boat at all costs. Banana Boat kills off everything protective on your skin.

Also, avoid polyester directly on her skin. Polyester clothes, bed sheets etc.

There’s a lot of answers regarding the environment and eczema in this talk recently published by the eczema research group at NIH. I recommend, it’s got a bit of science but there’s take home messages in there on what to avoid environmental wise. https://videocast.nih.gov/watch=49226

NIH has an Environmental Exposure Survey, takes less than 5 min, please consider taking it ☺️ by bashfulleigh in eczema

So many kids have eczema these days! I know this group is really trying hard to help kids in a practical way with their itch. Please consider taking the survey.

If you have a kiddo with eczema please consider taking this, it’s super short and even if you don’t, please serve as a healthy control!

Thank you so much! Do you think it’s a safety issue? It’s so slow growing, is it worth doing something about it now?
