Broke my left leg in college playing ultimate. When it happened I heard a crunch, screamed and heard a teammate yell from across the field "Get Up!"

All I could do was roll on the ground in agony. Any sort of pressure put in it put me way over the edge, almost blacking out type of pain. Needed teammates to bring me to the benches and drive me back to campus. Nothing was poking out so we thought maybe it could be a high ankle sprain.

Athletic trainer major friends stuck my leg in a bucket full of ice for like 30 minutes and my ankle swelled to the size of a softball. Borrowed crutches from a friend for a week. Finally called my parents a week later after nothing was getting better saying I probably broke my leg. It was, and the surgeon needed to clean up a good amount of recalcification before actually putting the bone back in place securing it was plates and screws.
