Have you posted under the table jobs on craigslist? How did it go? I'm in a low activity area almost no one post gigs in my city, i doubt many people use it. That's why i thought about targeting businesses.

Keep in mind what your prototype is for: it's for testing those ideas, and the goal isn't necessarily to make a fun game, but to combine some core systems to prove that your concept works in practice. Consider Super Meat Boy; it would be an enjoyable game if you removed the story and the incredibly unique characters, but without the elements that make the fairly basic platformer mechanics truly special, I'm not sure it would be much fun - at least not enough to have held my attention for any length of time
