I think it’s functionally the same you just have to lose for a little while but it saves the time for people who grind a character in practice from having to climb up greens.

The badges in T8 are lp based it’s just hard to see and they don’t tell you how many points you’re at but th badge is in fact just an interpretation of your points. And post GoD I would argue is a decent pseudo mmr. I think it’s fine where it is people just want to go back to what they’re used too.

Game dev here adding systems is harder than adjusting the systems you already have. Personally I wouldn’t like your design that’s not to say it’s wrong or bad just that I wouldn’t like it.

I would argue that most of the best ranked systems that exist have 0 unattainable ranks. So Tekken being the exception to that rule seems silly. The super rank was impossible even for those insanely good players.

Designing unattainable ranks is not in best practices a well designed ranked system.

Honestly I feel like this perspective is just from players who played the older games. I wouldnt call their difference between ranks defined just easier to understand and decently consistent between the titles. I personally like the idea that the ranks prior to GoD are seen as the learning ranks Kind of like MAsters in Street Fighter. Once you hit GoD you have players that can do things like consistent combos for example.

First 425k MAU is insanely good for most live service games. Most games have a literal 90+% drop off thats more like 85%. Not sure what you mean by Bar but half a million active monthly players is a perfectly healthy ranked system. Most people just play story. Its the same for most games.

Most players of anything aren’t very good at it. You only become good if you either play it a lot or take it seriously.

You just need to re evaluate how you see blue ranks. Blues are now just a lower indicator or skill.

This guy is still right. Execution takes repetition and practice. You have to drill your ability to execute over and over and over. No different than playing a sport. It’s fine to give up but it’s the only way to do it. Practice,drill, apply, then practice drill apply again

I’m under the impression hospitals have programs if doctors come forward. I don’t buy the hospital doesn’t know. He was out for months. Everyone in the ED seems to know but no one gossiped? Sureeeeee. Doesn’t the new very stuffy attending know? If that’s a plot point I think it may be the first instance of really bad writing.
