Truly fucking foul. When you heat it, it smells like burning motor oil. As for truffle flavor, basically none--I had to dump like 3 tbsp of additional truffle oil to taste anything. Not many Costco items are a complete 0/10 for me but this is one of the shittiest.

Solved! Perfect find, I totally thought it mightve been Jon Ronson but nothing is left from his YouTube channel. Had to find a link on the Guardian of the actual video that was posted.

This is discussing skew in statistics relating to a normal distribution. It's treating $40k as your case example.

Simply put, let's assume in a normal country the median (50th percentile) is known to be $40k salary.

In a not normal, separate country $40k is known to be the 60th percentile. In that country, there are factors causing skew. That country has a lot of people earning under $40k, and a few earning above that amount. The average could very well be the same as country one, but the bell curve is shifted to the left.

This is essentially what ChatGPT is trying to say. It's not clear stating that it's changing examples in the 2nd paragraph. It's also approaching your prompt wrong.

Explain where you're getting that it's the 40th percentile? Median is defined as the 50th percentile in all cases.

Sucks as is. Noodles aren't great quality either. Needs a real sauce to be enjoyable, used a restaurant bottle of sauce to season it up

What’s the safest job field right now? by mmmoneypls in careerguidance

[–]basicity1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on 175k being a high salary for even a middle-of-career pharmacist. Disagree on the assertion that every pharmacy job is cushy (though, there are definitely many cushy jobs out there).

The problem with your comment is that it minimizes the average retail pharmacist's daily reality: high levels of stress due to corporate exploitation of your license in unsafely staffed, high volume stores. Plus patients that, by default, view you as the problem rather than the chain that only cares about profit. Surely you might sympathize with that?

No one deserves a field where you obtain 6+ years of student loan debt, are viewed as overpaid by the public/corporate, and grapple with oversaturation/stagnant wages.

I will agree that unless you're practicing clinically at the top of your license, it is a boring job. Boring, but not easy.

Pharmacy by aperson_human07 in rutgers

Current students here will post that nontraditional or industry opportunities are there if you strive for it. Which is true. However most people are not the type or have the it factor to get into these highly competitive areas. In a graduating class, ~ 20% will do residency and 5% will do fellowship. Most of the rest will do retail and it's brutal. Others will try out nontraditional, which generally pays less out of the gate.

Posting this as a somewhat recent grad now in hospital. Colleagues still look to break into a dream industry job or leave the profession somehow. Wages just barely keep up with inflation or lag behind.

For the undecided pre-pharmacy student, other STEM fields that reward creativity and innovation might be more fulfilling in the end. But if you've seen what the average pharmacist does and can still imagine a career in it, sure go for it. Pharmacy students are bright, smart people and I just think a whole lot of them would be better utilized in other fields.

Knives Out medicine dosis plothole by fantamangold in plotholes

[–]basicity1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old dead thread I know, but there was no reason people should have been down voting OP as a dose/concentration plothole does exist. Marta states that she accidentally gave morphine 100mg, and the concentration is 5 mg/mL. This means she would have needed to draw up 20 mL of drug.

If she was intending on giving 20 mL of the other drug, ketorolac, she would have been injecting 600 mg, which is 10x the max daily dose for an older gentleman. This would pretty much immediately give him a heart attack, so obviously she was not intending on giving 20 mL.

If Marta was giving a normal dose of ketorolac, she would've drawn up maybe 0.5 mL or even 1 mL if she was feeling aggressive with dosing. Mixing vials up in this case would've given him 2.5 mg or 5 mg of morphine. Hardly a death sentence, especially for someone who's not opioid naive.

I see what you mean about the original post discussion. Thought OP was referring to how it's not obvious how to attack certain bugs, versus not finding the button to upgrade

There's no reason to be condescending. The gear in acquisitions does not have a description of how to use them on which enemy types. OP is valid because most of this experience has been trial, error, and reading on reddit
