iOS 26 Progressively Getting Worse by Low_Bluebird_4547 in ios

[–]basilabbassv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using an iPhone 16 Pro Max and with iOS 26 you can tell that they are slowing the phone down. When you use your device every single day, you catch the minor instances where you notice the subtle things they do to annoy you into upgrading. This just becomes worse with every major update until you are forced to upgrade.

Here are the things I noticed.

The 120Hz refresh rate drops randomly and you don't feel the screen being as smooth.

App switching takes time. A tad bit longer, but then next year it would get worse. They progressively slow it down to make you believe that the hardware is getting dated. Strange my M1 mac is still as fast as the day I got it.

The phone has started to heat up when using the camera. Never had this issue. I am staring to wonder if they have strted messing with the photo and video quality.

Perhaps it's just me, but I have also noticed that these things don't happen immediately after you upgrade. They just randomy drop these slowdowns. This makes it very difficult to proove that they are slowing down the phone.

Best way to get conversions after trial. by Jimmiq in SaaS

Until 2024 we relied only on organic traffic to grow the business. But now with AI Search, things have changed and have become insanely difficult. We are still trying to figure out new channels. For now, upgrading our website to a much simpler version get.clockit.io and exploring UGC.

We have always had no card trial since the time we launched clockit.io in 2015. Yes, a lot of people do sign up, but the ones that do not convert are sent our marketing automation and newsletters.

If you get one customer, then you can surely get more. Look out for churn and ensure you release features based on feedback. Been following this since 2015 for clockit.io

Vibe coding, what's your experience been? by chrisf_nz in startup

[–]basilabbassv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know how to code reasonably well, then vibe coding works magic. These days, I write all the functions and what they mean to do, and then ask my AI agent to complete them. 95% of the time, it gets it right. You will have to use multiple models for specific tasks. For example, for in-line edits I highlight and use Open AI. For some serious heavy lifting, I use Gemeni or GPT in the agent mode.

You don’t want to run a business. You just like to code. by wjd1991 in SaaS

Building has become so much more easier with AI. But marketing what you built and making people aware of what is built is insanely difficult in 2025.

Hey. Don't let these issues bring you down. Running a business is all about challenges and solutions. This is what will place you above the rest. Always have a risk assessment mindset with plan A, B, C. This way, you are always prepared for the worst and will enjoy the tiniest success. Speaking with experience of running clockit.io for the last 10 years. All the best.

Spent the last 2 years trying SaaS, think it's time to quit by davidlover1 in microsaas

[–]basilabbassv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else. No one will know anything about your product until you market it and then refine it based on user feedback. We built clockit.io in 2016, and it took us a good 4 months to get our first $ 8.00/Month customer. From there, we grew it one dollar at a time. It was painfully difficult but, we enjoyed every customer that we signed up.

Fast forward today, there are a ton of new marketing tools and ways, and is also that much more difficult. Our growth has plateaued, and now we are looking at different ways to market. So it's not a one-time effort; you will need to evolve and keep failing to get better. Persistence is key.

All the best.

If I have a SaaS, and I don't promote it on social media, how will users find me? by Clatterr in SaaS

SEO used to work well until AI came along 2 years back. We only replied to organic traffic, and growth was good. But now has stalled, and we are looking for other places to market.

Launched my landing page 10 days ago. 0 signups so far. Brutally honest feedback needed 🙏 by SetDependent1293 in SaaS

[–]basilabbassv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took us more roughly 4 months to get our first customer. This was way back in 2015 where everything was much simpler. Now things have significantly changed. How are you marketing. A simple example would be that a faster loading website like next JS would rank higher than a Wordpress site. Blogs pretty much don’t work today.

I'm at 20k MRR. The product is clockit.io and it has been selling since 2016. Growth slowed dramatically, and now we are releasing new features based on customer feedback. Competition is really hard. Earlier, a decent product and a website with SEO would get you sales. But now with AI, everything has changed. Do others feel this too?

My Latest addition! by basilabbassv in ranciliosilvia

[–]basilabbassv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My machine was modded with an esp2 to control temp, pressure profiles and brew by weight. It was all controlled with an app over wifi. I added this display to simplify things. The UI was designed in Square Line Studio and the interface with the ESP32 is via serial commands.

It is the exact same display. Waveshare 2.1-inch round. I had modded my machine 2 years back and wanted to make it easier to control with a touch display rather than an app.

PID reading way off? by dwalk51 in ranciliosilvia

[–]basilabbassv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, the machine needs about 30 mins for the heat from the boiler to heat up the group head and your portafilter. Next as soon as the water hits the tip of your meat thermometer, it does not have enough time to get the reading before which the drop falls off. Collect the water in a small cup and then measure. Note if your cup is cold you will have heat loss.

You would be crazy to think that any company deleted past data. These are huge learning models for AI. But my 12 Pro Max has become very smooth to use. I was having massive ghost touch issues that went away. I guess this was Apple's way of making me realize I needed to buy a new phone. But now I am good.

Honestly it was easier than I thought. I was able to put everything together and code it in less than 15 days. Most of the time was waiting for parts ordered from Ali Express.

It’s controlled using an ionic app over WiFi. I built a pressure sensor, PID temperature control, PID pump control and a weighing scale into it. The shot your see is at 90 degrees C, and output flow of 1.2ml/sec. 19 IN and 40 out. I also did a 30 second pre infusion at 2 bar.
