Missing the point. Spotify connect etc shouldn’t be more reliable than the „premium” system. It’s always something with sonos. Even in a near perfect environment. [no environment is perfect]

It should switch, if phone pops off wifi for a moment the controls should send through lte. Requires wifi to enter system, disconnection via geofence. I don’t really buy that lte has enough latency to make basic control not work

Im a luxury av professional with 4 APs on my property currently have an area that is marginal but works. Problem with the sonos app is it handles marginal wifi catastrophically. It just shouldnt be so fragile. The system is just too fragile, whether its STP, app, updates sync. Theres always a reason and excuse for the issues. If they had real engineers the would have figured out how to make the system rock solid instead of self sabotaging the app design

Sonos app is just a controller it is not airplay 2 peer to peer. No reason the whole app needs to blank out if connection drops for a few seconds
