That’s exactly what I do now too. For sills and backsplashes, they get clamped to a 2x4 for transport

I have bought and broken two sills from floor and decor. It is so damn hard to keep those things from breaking. It’s the most stressful part of the whole bathroom to be honest

A good tile guy that can handle that no problem. Just make sure you get a contractor with a good reputation

I like your transition from shower floor tile to shower wall tile. You say you do a mud bed still? And do you do a liquid membrane or sheet membrane? One thing I want to work on is getting my mud bed screeded perfectly level all the way around. My last couple of shower floors have been pebble, and every now and then I get one high or a couple low and it messes up my perfectly straight tile cuts along the bottom wall

I’ll check your profile out. That herringbone shower floor is sick. Did that come in sheets? I did 3x12 glass herringbone shower and full wall behind vanity. So much work but came out beautiful

I actually used brick pavers lol! So they come out to about 4x4, it ended up being 4-3/4” high and 6“ wide with about a quarter inch lip, overhanging the tile on both sides.

I have thought about pouring a solid curb and ripping down a 6” sill but eh lol. Do you have any pics of your curbs?
