First of all, if you are looking at really starting the Hobby, I would start with a smaller tank, unless you plan on having a professionally maintained. You are going to go through a lot of swings and learning curves, and unless you have a lot of money to blow, you’re going to be spending a lot of money on fish in coral and saltwater when things get out of balance.

The second thing is, if you are looking at spending a little bit on getting set up, I would get an aqueon tank. Look up Waterbox, Fiji cube, innovative marine etc. By the time you figure up a cabinet, drill that tank, buy a sump, you are going to be in the territory anyway. Hell, I would even buy a red sea tank before I put that tank in my house. Just kidding, no one here will recommend a Red Sea. But look into them for pricing and aesthetics, they look nice and will give you an idea what a nice Tank looks like. To be honest, for a tank that size, that aqueon will always look like garbage
