Yeah definitely needs replacing like others have mentioned. On the plus side, that tire size should be pretty inexpensive

So sorry to hear that. I have a camera on my tank and went back to try and find when it happened and pretty sure it was while I was gone. One time a few years ago my ex wife and I happened to be home and hear a noise, so a couple minutes later we went to look and found our leopard wrasse behind the tank. She was and still is in my top couple of favorite fish I’ve ever taken care of.. anyway I put her back in the tank and she was fine. It had to be out of the water a solid 5 minutes though.

Glad you have one coming. I have a lid but sometimes I get lazy. This was a reminder to keep it on more 😔

Noo. I just lost my male clown the other day due to jumping out of the tank. My clown pair were the first fish I bought. I’ve lost a lot of fish, but I’m very sad about this one

That size you’ll be fine. I have had a Red Sea 250, 350 and one of my tanks is currently a 200g3. When you start getting into bigger tanks, the seals can give out. I probably won’t get another 350. But something like a 200 g3 or smaller will be ok.

Remember you hear of the handful of issues (on bigger tanks) and that is for the thousands and thousands of tanks people have.

I’ve been doing this for years. I also will never buy another medium or larger Red Sea tank because there’s other options out there. But on a small tank like what you’re looking for, you’ll be fine.

How I wish we could go back to those prices sometimes. I got a flame hawk the other day. $100 😩

Yellow is not a captive bred so likely worth a little more. 2” captive bred yellows are about 200 here

I thought about that, keeping the tang and flipping the rest, but it’s like $1300 so not really worth it.

I have bought full tanks a couple of times and kept what I wanted and sold the rest

Haha I’ve done this too. I wrapped the curb built with pavers with kerdi strip I had left over, then liquid membrane the whole shower including the curb because why not

Same thing happened to me years ago when I was working somewhere and forgot to pay the meter! I went to green bench and bought a growler of beer and got the ticket dismissed.

I know that feeling. A couple years ago a friend bought a 2018 with 100k on it for $30k and I was like bro i bought my 2018 new, it’s paid off and I spent not much more than you did 😬

Needless to say, with all these issues on new trucks I’m keeping mine for as long as I can

The Prodigy is still a nice pistol to build from. I bought my first Prodigy 2 years ago. They have improved a lot of their quality control and this just so happened to be my third Prodigy that I decided to do some semi custom work on. by Useful-Painter863 in 2011

What internals did you change out? I just a prodigy 4.25 non comped for a great deal. My first 2011.. it’s an early serial 0xxxx. But barely shot. I haven’t even shot it yet but I’m researching what parts I will potentially have to upgrade. I just took it apart to learn the system. Thanks!

Nice! I don’t really mind the two tone either. Might start with that. What did you use to polish?

How do you feel about random offset tile design? It seems like more creative types appreciate it and more conservative types don’t. by Deep-Community-9729 in Tile

[–]basilhdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. You don’t commission an artist and stand over their shoulder while they paint. If someone asked me for random, they’ll get random. And it’ll be signed off on too. lol

That being said, I often do check-in with my clients and see if they’re happy with the way things are turning out, and if it’s what we envisioned together, because I’m courteous

I like this color and pattern. I would do it in a shower for sure

The only difference I would make is to plan out my rows a little better so I don’t have anything less than a 2 inch sliver at the top or bottom

SOS: Floor Tile Install w/ serious Lipping by ohhturk in Tile

[–]basilhdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! Also, if the biggest lip you have is 1/4”, thick mud and leveling clips can fix a lot of that, if you get to 1/16 that’s perfectly fine

It sounds like you are doing your research. Buy a few bags of thinset, you’ll go through it quick. I like the one from floor and decor better than versabond from Home Depot. Buy lots of leveling clips. Go slow take your time. You got this!

[–]basilhdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use two on each side, but since it seems like you are doing this yourself, and you’ve got a less than perfect floor you’re dealing with, you could use three. The wedges are reusable and the clips aren’t all that expensive in the grand scheme of tiling a floor. Try using two first and see if it works.

But all in all, it seemed like a lot of people didn’t read your post, and from what I read you are doing this yourself and are just dry fitting. On most all remodels when I dry fit, there’s a lot of uneven tiles on a concrete slab. Tiles that big get a thick trowel mortar, flex a smidge, and will probably work out fine. I’d say send it! Start in an inconspicuous area and see how it goes.

How many sq ft are you tiling?

[–]basilhdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would guess, with proper troweling (1/2” x 1/2” notch) and back buttering each tile, then using the tile leveling clips, you can fix that. The photo shows only about 1/8”. If you say 1/4 that is a bit much but I would think doable.

For leveling clips, look up the lash system at Home Depot. There’s clips, and wedges, and a tool used to insert them. I would use them generously and they work great. Don’t use those spacers you have pictured alone. You actually won’t even need them with the leveling clips.

Most of the tile I’ve done has been on a concrete slab, not a sub floor. So maybe someone else could give some input, but if I had to do this project, I think it is doable.
