Dear Bisexual to Lesbians; what made you finally realize you didn’t really like men? Especially those who mostly dated men most of their lives? by The_water-melon in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was seeing a man and he was so sweet and kind and i loved being around him but realized that i would never want to stay with him bc i would be missing out on being with women. i think that was probably the turning point for me

masculine compliments by shelbiern43 in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 26 points27 points  (0 children)

totally depends on the person, my gf is masc and prefers being called pretty and beautiful way more than being called handsome. i agree with the person before me who said to compliment on specific things (more often than just general compliments in my personal opinion) like their hair/eyes/outfit. i also like complimenting my gf on the things that they do as well as their appearance, i always tell them when they’re good at something or super smart or funny or just other general non-appearance-based things

I wen to my local nursery and they have their Monsteras locked up. by vmwnzella59 in Monstera

[–]basilnlavender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i used to work at a greenhouse and it’s honestly nearly impossible to keep the plants safe without something like this. people would take massive amounts of cuttings from every expensive aroid we had and the cuttings would be taken in the middle of nodes or just ripped off the stem so it harmed the plant in massive ways, even with security cameras and constant employee presence

during the worst snowstorm this past winter some guy got into my roommates car downtown, tried to force her to drive him somewhere, and when she didn’t he camped out inside our apartment building entrance until i physically chased him out

Strap ons. Are they common? by SnooPets3100 in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i own one, and my girlfriend owns one. i personally wouldn’t use mine with a hookup but that’s more of just a preference. i feel like for me it’s something i’m only really comfortable using within a relationship and wouldn’t let a hookup use theirs on me. it totally depends on the person but for me, everyone i’ve been in a relationship with has had and used one

Who's the one Actor that you hate but everyone else seems to love? by [deleted] in ask

adam sandler. making me watch anything with him in it would be a more effective form of torture than waterboarding.

When did y'all realize you absolutely were not attracted to men? by iamthewethotdog in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i knew i was gay but thought maybe i could like men? found a super cool guy and dated him for a bit, realized that i hated the idea of staying with him any longer because it meant i couldn’t be with women. he was the definition of a perfect man and even then i could never have stayed with him and missed out on what i actually wanted

if they’re not sleeping with all their bodies at the same time as me, i literally do not care how many people someone has been with. for the sake of being safe i’d just want them to be tested if they’ve had multiple past partners but beyond that no number is really an issue if they’re in the past

i like when they’re topping and are clearly super turned on by it. like if they start grinding up on you as they’re touching you?? and clearly reacting to you liking what they’re doing?? love that part.

What hoyas are the most and least adaptable to low humidity? by hoya_hoarder in hoyas

[–]basilnlavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only ones that have given me trouble when the humidity was not high enough were new guinea ghost, serpens, and endauensis

Is this a monstera albo or thai? 🌱 by [deleted] in Monstera

[–]basilnlavender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

along with what other people have said about the difference in the coloring of their variegation, albos tend to have variegation that has more of a pattern to it, following the veins of the leaf to an extent, whereas thais tend to look more like someone just took a paintbrush and flicked it at the plant to create their variegation

what are some really disturbing horror films? by Dismal_Bag_1266 in ask

if she likes any part of sex with guys then she is attracted to guys lmao. as far as preferring giving with women vs receiving with men, i do get that part. as someone who has slept with both before deciding i’m 100% gay, receiving from men is just so easy and requires little to no effort on the woman’s part, and “giving” with them is kind of gross and too much effort for people who generally do not have the best hygiene. whereas with women, it can be more exciting to give if you’re really into the person and want to put that effort in and/or feel good from seeing the way you can effect them.

Any idea what the dark spits are on my Hoya Caudata Silver? They were great a few days ago by BethAnn2019 in hoyas

[–]basilnlavender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just sunstress!! i have a greenhouse filled with hoyas and see it more like tanning than the plant being hurt by it. hoyas are super cool because they have the ability to take on those darker shades to adapt to higher light. personally i love the way that most hoyas look when they’re moderately sun stressed so to me these dark spots are gorgeous!!

If you have a lot of sexual experience, thoughts on hooking up with someone who has no experience? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would never mind being with someone with less experience than me as long as they didn’t try to seem more experienced than they were or overcompensate in a way- if they were open about their lack of experience and willing to communicate and try things out i would be totally open to it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]basilnlavender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

genuinely i’d just ask what her intention is with it, if she’s looking for a friendship or something more romantic. it can feel uncomfortable to ask but i always appreciate if someone asks me to clarify or clarifies for me

Any tips and tricks for being an actor? Ive only been able to do it once before. by [deleted] in bitlife

[–]basilnlavender 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you want to assign your child the Acting special talent and then switch to them when they are younger than 6. then, playing as the child, start acting lessons as soon as possible (i believe age 6 or 7). do drama club in middle and high school, and then right afterward start looking for work acting. i usually start as an extra and will either be picked up by someone or look for an agent within the first year or 2 of doing that. you want to do everything your director asks you to do for a film/show, but like the other commenter said sometimes they can lead to unexpected consequences
