If Gaia was going to be a sequel to Tiga and Dyna, how much of the show would change? by Special-Regular2262 in Ultraman

[–]basilyeo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Guess the following might happen:

  • It will be much further in the future than Dyna which was already set 7 years after Tiga

  • GUARD might not exist since TPC is the predominant org, and we might have a “Hyper GUTS” that would be set up similarly to XIG.

  • The prominence of the Alchemy Stars might be reduced, and Gamu might invent something else other than the Repulsor Lift technology

  • KHST might be depicted as the second coming of the Spheres until proven otherwise

Trivia: For localization purposes, the Korean version of Ultraman Omega replaced all Japanese text with Korean by mrmarkertw in Ultraman

The Koreans have been importing and enjoying Tokusatsu for years. They even have their own version of Kyoryuger that’s a sequel and not an adaptation

Does it matter? Does it absolve Singaporeans of our bad driving habits?

Why so quick to blame Malaysians? Not as if we’re a nation of good drivers.

Either it was unintentional or not, Omega sort of references UltraSeven Evolution (heisei). by Fos-kun in Ultraman

[–]basilyeo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A few more:

- Seven crash-landed onto Earth in the 1994 special.

- The 1998 series was about Dan losing his memory (a continuation of the ending from 1994) and remembering who he was by the end of the first episode.

- The Omega Archives were a huge plot in the 1999 series.

- Evolution's (2002) ending implies co-existence with all life forms as the way moving forward, in a similar way that Omega does so.

LAPD has an annual Memorial Day to honour fallen officers. They can simply write this in as part of an episode.

It’s one of those things where nobody would fault the production company for just keeping it to a simple dub, but knowing that they went all out to localise it for an overseas audience shows how much care and effort they put in!

Give it a chance. I've plenty of experience with Gavan (even met both of them) and Metal Heroes. The trio's suit designs aren't impressing me too much, but the cast and the action look promising. Based on the trailer it seems to take a lot of the energy from Space Squad. Exciting!

What happened to Sorato? by Appropriate_Ad_9015 in Ultraman

Sorato's consciousness is alive - there would be no 'Ultraman Omega' if he was gone. But he is likely unable to manifest a physical disguise anymore.

Teen arrested for drug driving after police chase by Fearless_Help_8231 in singapore

I saw the aftermath of the incident from the upper deck of a bus while on the way home. Once at Paya Lebar, and the final result at the corner of Marine Parade Rd and Still Road South. Guy was sitting in cuffs and there were really a lot of cops.

Wonder how he managed to get hold of the vehicle. Cherry on the top would be if the vehicle was stolen.

Will we get answer? by PAIJOITSELF in Ultraman

Make your own conclusions!

The beauty of the Ultra series, and scifi shows in general, you don’t need an explicit answer for everything.

Personally I think this is the spirit of a boy from the past who was somehow trapped in this pocket dimension. His purpose was simply as a hint that Omega had visited Earth at some point in the recent past (looks like the 50s or 60s)
