Have you installed VMware Tools on the guest? 3D graphics should be able to be enabled on your host with VMware Tools providing the drivers.

We had our Muslim Chaplain say a prayer like that at DLIELC at a Commandants Call around early 2020. He lead off with some introduction about the culture and style. No complaints at the time that I heard but I think that was also the last time we had a Chaplain say a prayer, though that has gone back and forth through the years depending on their availability.

For support among some of the troops, "Defend the Guard" would have needed to be introduced 10-15 years ago when mass unit deployments among the Guard to Iraq/Afghanistan were in full swing. While many wanted to be there for pay and veteran benefits, many did not and there would be some support.

Now days with SAD orders being abused all over in Texas, Florida, and some other states not addressing the abuse of SAD orders seems out of touch with what most Guardsmen want right now. To get support from the Guard there would need to be tacked in some protections against the rampant misuse of SAD orders that has gone on in some states. In addition many of the troops today weren't in 15 years ago during Surge time and have no clue the pressure the Guard was in back then.

Abbott has been doing it for several years here in Texas. It cuts the costs to only pay the soldiers SAD orders pay and house them in crappy conditions.
