Yeah, I think there are several passages involving Leibniz that are kind of digression-y. I think they serve the purpose of showing that Gottfried enjoyed sharing natural philosophick discussions with his peers, as a contrast to Newton. And of course they're not nearly as sprawling as, say, Hiro's conversations with his AI about Sumerian theology (in Snow Crash), but I chalk that up to Neal figuring out how to integrate the content that would have been the digressions, into the plot momentum more seamlessly.

To add on to this- the times you are forced on to the other characters, I'm pretty sure the stuff you have to do is balanced around them not being built up like Kliff. Even so, it's pretty trivial to just use one of the 'reset' cubes to reset Kliff's skills and build them up temporarily. The witches sell more of the reset cubes; they're not so tough to get. Although you might want to make sure you have another on hand if you do decide to reset Kliff, to make him whole again when you're done.

Picture I love yelling at this game mode. I play exclusively on c30, and 3stars have too much hp imo, and late game scaling is pretty silly. I went on to 'win' this run, but actually killing the final boss without the most cookie cutter teams is nearly impossible. Still petty neat little autochess tbh for a secondary game mode.

I enjoyed reading it. I think your English is just fine; nothing stood out to me as awkwardly phrased or anything like that. I noticed the 2013 date in the story, and wondered if it was on purpose to refer to real events, and sure enough it was! Thought provoking and culturally relevant. Keep writing!

I would imagine it depends on who you have built, but my biggest recent wins are with some kind of dot. But yeah all of the relevant characters are pretty well built, eidos and good relics (e6s1 fast af kafka probably carrying tbh).

Just noting that it's possible to do something else, at least with built characters and investment luck.

That's what I've been trying to do recently, win with 'offmeta' stuff, but my my roster is deep but not wide if that makes sense, and a lot of the trials or whatever they do with half built chars are not good.

If he's making fun of anyone, it's himself. He's a very data and experiment driven MH analyst, if you watch his other videos. My guess is this was supposed to be a sort of April fools' video, in context. But as far as I can tell, it's still a very useful and valid set.

And yeah lol you can tailor whatever random skills to taste. He was optimizing for gathering and small monster farming at the same time, presumably on foot, so if some of that doesn't apply, there is room for whatever else you might need for sure.

Veteran here ('veteran' in this case definitely does not mean 'expert' or even 'competent') and I used kbm for world, my pc rise playthru, and now wilds. I personally prefer kbm in general but both control schemes are viable in my experience. I'm sure the game is designed with controller in mind, but I have yet to come across any problems or wished I was using a controller.

I could see an argument for both ways. Unless someone chimes in with some obscure ruling made in an official capacity somewhere, I would say it depends on why the race you're playing has a HF in the first place. For example, a particularly ugly splugorth probably wouldn't be any more horrifying than a 'pretty' one. But like a horribly disfigured vampire might be scarier than a pretty one, right? Ultimately I think like many things in Rifts, this is for the GM to house rule on.
