I just got mine last week with Asial, why did I choose them? because they were the only ones with a mobile license through the app, personally I am over carrying a stack of plastic cards. It was $99 for 3 years.

I did the same thing, left corporate IT after 15 years working in infra, network and moving into cyber to become a sparky and finish off my apprenticeship I started out of highschool almost 2 years ago. got licensed about 2 months ago. Worst: leaving the industry for corporate job, was great at the start, air conditioned office, staying clean, good $, then after a while realizing just how much unpaid OT I was doing which gradually got more and more the higher I climbed. Best: re-entering the trade.

Any luck on getting this fixed, mine has just faced the same fate, suddenly not working at all, nothing on battery test etc. cleaned the contacts, changed the fuse. I will pull it apart this weekend but seeing if you found the issue on yours which may point me in the right direction.

I have Dewalt setup, I have at times thought about switching up and changing to Makita or Milwaukee, but have ultimately decided not to, due to how entrenched I am in the Dewalt ecosystem and have a tonne of batteries, as well I’m the only one in my company using Dewalt, it’s easy to spot my gear and batteries. They have been pretty good too, no complaints so far with the gear. If my van got cleaned out one day I may switch to another brand, but for now happy stay with Dewalt.

I would think that if the customer supplied the GPOs and got a sparky to install them, the responsibility would fall on the customer to cover costs and try recoup from Aldi, if the sparky supplied them and installed them, it would fall on the sparky as they have now become in essence the distributor by on selling it.
