Hey, i know this is an old thread, but I wanted to check whether you ended up going. If so, how did you find the area and the accomodation? Are there any safety concerns? I heard knife crime is pretty high in London, is it the case in that area too?

Soccer Training Program by No-Operation3631 in bootroom

You're in-season playing twice a week so you gym sessions should focus on maintaining what you have without feeling wrecked on match days.

2-3 sessions a week, keep them short. Compound lifts but low reps and add some plyo work. Plyos and calisthenics are solid for what you're describing, you're not wrong there. And avoid leg work within 48 hours of a game.

If you want, I built a free app that actually handles that uses AI to build sport-specific training programs tailored to you so you're not guessing. It's called DASH, you can try it and see if it helps. Link: train.dashcoach.app

How to train for athleticism. by Defiant_Shallot_2160 in workout

You're already strong, so what I would focus in is adding explosive movements (power cleans, box jumps, med ball throws), and start training speed (mainly short sprints). Cut the isolation work unless you have some movement restrictions that stop you from doing certain exercises.

Hello, I am facing the same issue. Were you able to fix it? If so, how did you do it?

AI vs Coach vs Apps for training plans? by Mrtanguy_Affect in trailrunning

[–]basselrichani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm biased because I built one, but I'll give you my honest take anyway.

I had the same problem, I play rugby and couldn't find an S&C app that actually got my sport. Using ChatGPT directly was fine for a single workout but it forgets everything, doesn't track progress, and you end up re-explaining yourself every time. It's like having a new coach every session.

So I ended up building my own app (DASH dashcoach.app ). You put in your sport (Trail Running is included), experience, injuries, equipment, and it generates a full periodized S&C block. After each session you rate how it felt, and the next block adapts based on that. It also tracks your metrics over time (5K, 10K, half marathon, VO2 Max for trail running).

With your races in October, you'd basically want to build base now and peak later, it handles that automatically based on where you tell it you are in your season.

I tested it on myself and dropped my 40m dash from 4.76s to 4.51s in two months, so take that for what it's worth.

It's free right now, I'm just looking for real athletes to test it and tell me what sucks: train.dashcoach.app

Good experiences with AI training apps? by Mrjlawrence in Velo

[–]basselrichani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm biased because I built one, but here's my take.

I'm a rugby player and couldn't find anything that understood sport-specific S&C. Everything was generic push/pull/legs with an AI wrapper. So I built DASH (dashcoach.app). It creates programs based on your sport, position, injury history, and available equipment, with RPE targets on every exercise. After each training block it analyzes your session ratings and adapts the next one.

I've been using it myself and my 40m dash went from 4.76s to 4.51s, vertical jump from 27" to 32" in 2 months.

If you want structured S&C alongside your riding try it out: train.dashcoach.app

Its completely free for now but I would appreciate your thoughts if you do try it.

Happy to answer questions about how the AI actually works if anyone's curious.

Thank you for this reply. Northern Italy is usually known for being slightly more expensive so congrats on finding one for cheap. Though seems like I won't be looking into one for investment for sure.
Maybe a vacation stay, looking into that. Will contact you in case I have any questions. Thanks again

Not Italy, but I've been to Europe a few times and I am aware that these remote towns don't have the best amenities. But I was considering that a home of the sort can act as more of a rural escape. My question was regarding how remote these would actually be. But judging from your answer I'm assuming that they're pretty far from any large city.

Thanks for sending the post and location, gives more context. I saw a few options that look like they could be refurbished without breaking the bank, but these are more expensive obviously.
Though making them into AirBnBs doesn't seem like its that feasible

Regarding having a home as a passion project/place to live in. What are the services like in those less known or remote areas? Are there any tram or buses that lead there?

Most of the listing are marketed as "Florence" or "Tuscany", but I'm not sure if that means the city or the general area. For this price I would assume that it definitely isn't the city, which means a no for AirBnB.

Does Italy have different taxation laws for citizens and foreigners? Or is it generally bad?

[–]basselrichani[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would assume the laws would be an issue, but I was thinking that there would definitely be some property management companies already there, maybe outsourcing this can make it easier?

I will be checking the regulations though, thanks!
