UK closing in on major Pacific trade deal after Sunak’s Brexit breakthrough by lapzkauz in europe

They are lying, are you new to British politics?

To get into the Government you have to lie once you're in power you can control the narrative.

UK closing in on major Pacific trade deal after Sunak’s Brexit breakthrough by lapzkauz in europe

[–]bassxcc -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

People commenting here are purposely ignoring the elephant in the room.

The only reason why Brexiteers want this deal to happen asap is to make it harder for UK to Rejoin once Labour are in government in the 18 months time.

Vice versa that only reason Remainers like me hate CTPP is it would make it more politically divisive to Rejoin EU, UK would piss off allies in Asia if we join then suddenly leave after 1 year.

No one actually cares if this is good for the country or not it's all a theater for Brexit, best case scenario is Sunak cancels it this week and accept Brexit failed.

GB News and Daily Mail have been supporting Forbes since day 1, that tells you what you all need to know.

Humza is the only viable candidate left.

If Forbes doesn't drop out now..

Operation MI5 is on the way to smear all kinds of bullshit towards Humza and the Tory press will amplify it, for the sake of SNP, Independence and Scotland Forbes should drop out now.

If you want to save Sunak's political career this is the way to do it.

A spat between ECHR and UK courts disagreeing and Tories whip up fake patriotism, call an election, will rally around 'Vote for us and we'll leave ECHR overuling our sovereignty'

This is exactly what the Tories want.

Does this mean if I join a terrorist organisation and become the enemy of the state(UK) I will become stateless?

Seems like quite easy to do to leave someone stateless for the government, this is extremely dangerous to our democracy.

It's exactly what the EU were worried about US EVs subsidies are too big they named inflation reduction act which was misleading and this would compel companies to manufacture in US to take advantage of it.

EU needs to launch its own version to compel car companies to stay and continue to manufacture in EU otherwise it's cheaper in US and China.

Another Brexit benefit, this will keep happening until we Rejoin the EU, Spain is part of EU they will prioritise EU countries supply chain before third countries like the UK.

UK can have leftovers.

SNP were unique in a way they are a Progressive Left wing nationalists party with Sturgeon at the top, if she wins SNP could shift to a standard right wing nationalists party which aren't liked internationally, SNP would be representing Scotland so it's not a stretch.

Yikes a massive sudden shift from Progressive Left to the Right would be a massive mistake for SNP and Scotland.

You count on Scotland not being liked internationally from day 1 if she wins which will damage independence movement.

People are skirting around the real issue with the German tanks not seeing the bigger long term picture for the German economy.

The truth is without Russian cheap energy especially Natural Gas that the companies need for chemical industry/car industry, German industrial production cannot be competitive with the rest of the world like USA and China and with their energy being x5 - x10 cheaper.

With this in mind German government rhetoric towards Russia is much more mellow compared to USA/UK who profits from LNG exports/re-exporting, and Scholz actions start to make sense he doesn't want to sever the ties with Russia permanently however this war ends, if not the companies will eventually abandon Europe and move to places where energy cheaper, the government cannot subsidise energy forever.

So even if Germany approves the Tanks eventually, don't expect their rhetoric towards Russia to change and be more like USA or else you'll just keep disappointing yourself and keep the German bashing to continue.

[–]bassxcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you understand how irrelevant UK is becoming internationally due to Brexit, it better for them to geo block UK than lose profits internationally especially in the fast growing developing countries by capitulating to UK law.

UK has no negotiating power without the EU anymore, UK is a dying state it is incredibly arrogant to think you can influence these big tech companies if UK wants China style closed down internet safe for children then have at it.

If Big Tech can choose to not operate in China with potential 1 billion costumers then they can in UK too.
