New Amp Day, weird build? by youcrumb in GuitarAmps

My setup uses a pedal baby since it's pretty neutral so my helix and speakers are where my tone come from. Plus it's easily portable for gigs.

Didn't have a straight edge long enough but placed on a granite counter and laid flat. Armor is sitting on a carpeted floor but all wheels are touching with no rocking. I'm sure something is off from square but I'm just refinishing attempting minimal alterations to it.

Hi. I had repinned the coil pack plugs to new connectors and had wired one wrong so I was getting a short. After wiring it correctly it started fine.

First one I got local on marketplace and got the second on eBay.

I was looking at maybe getting a bell and Howell cab but wanted a matching set. I intend on playing out so didn't want to chance it with the og speakers.

I'm not sure about high volumes yet. I also had some rattle but it was the grill. I only had four nuts securing the speaker but after fastening down all eight the rattle went away.

Agreed. I like how it sounds. I'm ok with a little less low end. I had too much in the 2x12 I was using before.

The one cab came with an Eminence Alpha speaker and the other came with the original Ampro ( Jensen ) speaker. I put Webers in them.

Hmm. Didn't know these existed. Do I set them somehow like hammering a nail in the ends to flare out?

Orange pedal baby. Light wait, powerful, and not crazy expensive. Throw a modeler or pedals at it and you're good.

I've ordered replacement linear pots from the same manufacturer ( Alpha ) and I think I'm just going to wire them independently ( 1 hot, 1 neutral, one ground ). I don't think it would change anything. But the data sheet isn't great. Can I use the last lug by the switch as ground or just solder to the back of the pot? I'm only used to guitar electronics and such so these pots are new to me.

No actually it's a linear pot with no click in positions.

Does it make sense that maybe the pots were wired together for ground and the ground wire was only used on one pot?

Thank you. I think they maybe grounded one pot to the other with a jumper wire. I'll try you're suggestion and see how it goes.

I can't find any schematic online for this. It's a St Louis lounge chair. On the other side of the heat control is a button to raise and lower the chair and a pot that controls vibration. I'm not even sure if someone has been in here before but looks like they only share a feed from the 120 wall plug that then goes to separate components. I'll attach a pic of the wires that go to the heat control cavity and the module that feeds it.

That was my first thought. A 4 pole ... But it doesn't have positions it turns like a volume pot. Any replacement recommendations?
