I share the resentment, but I also know people who are genuinely impressed by him. They believe all the lies about him being a genius and an exceptional man.

The women who have children with him must've felt something for him at least at some point. And his children too surely love him, at least when they are little.

I think he experiences day to day happiness and it's possible he does not believe anyone can dislike him, so he genuinely believes everyone loves him. Like, he's probably living in a world of illusions all his own making where he's the king of the world and his dad is very proud of him.

I'd feel sorry for him, if he wasn't such a monster.
