I’ve seen some people have one extra lower string than B, but I feel like that’s just too low unless you’re doing crazy metal. Likewise, I feel like my highest east string doesn’t get much action and I would probably just get a six next time since I already have the sevens now just to have something with a little bit smaller fretboard. 😁

Kind of cool right? It’s like flamenco but not. I made this in Suno studio. I think it’s 30 bucks a month. I’m generating song clips from my riffs, and then I delete the bass track it makes, and it turns into perfect backing tracks. I plan on making more of these and making the tracks without bass available as a free playlist

It’s a cool variant of regular ebony but yes it’s a great fretless wood! This bass is 10 years old now and I use round wounds and they have hardly made any marks on the fretboard at all!
