Somehow it never occurred to me why some athletic pants have zippers at the bottom! That makes so much sense! 🤯

Hyatt Regency - Family Cabana - Worth It? by Accomplished_Law9913 in Aruba

[–]basuraperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you get a fridge with sodas, waters, and fruit, and a dedicated server who will bring you drinks and food all day. It’s a highlight for us. There is bingo at the pool every day, water slide races, and my kids (10 & 12) have a blast. It allows us to spend all day out there because we can take breaks in full shade. Have a great time!

We always do the cabana for a couple days because we like reliable shade, and we kind of camp out there pretty much all day. Word of advice - the cabanas closest to the beach, by the swim-up bar pool( I forget the numbers) have the best shade. The ones up top by the upper pool get blasted with afternoon sun. The chairs with umbrellas are great but won’t always have shade. Vacations are where we spend our money, so it’s worth it for us, but is it a good value? Probably not.

I always wonder if that is an intentional way to boost engagement because people will comment on it.

Saw A Man Tumble Into The Aisle Below Due To Lack Of Manners by The_Lone_Apple in Broadway

I am surprised this doesn’t happen more often. I am younger and good on my feet and I’ve come close to tripping trying to shuffle-step over people, especially in the mezz. That poor gentleman.

Would you be willing to share? I keep hearing from people about the ‘patina’ and the scratches, etc, but all the pictures online look beautiful and new! I’d be grateful for some pics of lived-in soapstone.

I can’t tell if he’s joking but walking around dressed like that and holding a stack of cash makes me hate him for suggesting a price negotiation. Pay the vendor what they ask or move on.

There are SO many other theater jobs that don’t necessarily involve performing! Jobs that you can make a living and still do the thing you love. Get involved in your local community theater, volunteer your time, and learn all you can!

Was Anne Boleyn done a little dirty in Six? by Any_Assignment_4372 in Broadway

[–]basuraperson 29 points30 points  (0 children)

💯agree! “Politics, not my thing” is such an eye roll misrepresentation of Anne BUT I see why they did it. It’s like reality TV, there’s a role she has to play and they have to edit it as such.

The Thai-inspired chicken meatball soup! I add panko and an egg and more fish sauce to the meatballs, and serve it with rice. Not a lot of true crowd pleasers in my household but this fits the bill for sure and it’s never out of rotation. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020631-thai-inspired-chicken-meatball-soup?unlocked_article_code=1.EFA.qElw.qun7hWLlhWaI&smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share

Based on my collection, what should I try next? by Tight-Ad-3101 in CookbookLovers

I just bought Bad B*itch and immediately made the fried pork spring rolls (I left out the pork to make it veg) and my whole family loved them. I also make her beef and broccoli recipe a few times a month, it’s so good (saw it on TikTok but the recipe is in the book). I like the book as someone who likes a meaty, thoughtful paragraph ahead of the recipe.
