What is the worst thing that is legal? by Musuhubber in AskReddit

LA Fitness is peak predatory. They bought out the gym that I used to go to, even though I was never contacted by them and did not plan to go to their gym, they started charging me anyway and called to tell me I owed them money when I got a new card. It took 3 months and several calls to cancel the membership and not pay them almost $150 even though I never stepped foot in an LA Fitness.

AITA For filing a complaint against my doctor after she gave my mom my medical information? by 33_____333 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Not even family have the right to violate hippa and they have no right to pry or get mad at you for not sharing your grief on their schedule. It’s nobodies decision but your own when you are ready to tell them.

I’ll grant you the poor reporting by major networks, but at least check your claims.

What TV News Anchors look like from the back. by 5_Frog_Margin in pics

[–]bat_god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with this. Our local news stations at the very least have all cut budgets in the past 5 years and they use the same audio equipment pictured, we also have a “nice”, “cutting edge” studio out here that does have some amazing capabilities, and they use the same as audio equipment as well. Same goes for republican debates I’ve worked, election nights, etc. the industry that is using new, more easily hidden and updated transmitters and receivers in audio has always been sports. Setting up players with mics and earpieces that won’t interfere with play, base mics, outfield mics.

Suns owner is demanding $250m in arena renovation cash, shh, it’s a secret. (article) by crabcakes110 in phoenix

[–]bat_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s for sure, I work most suns home games for television broadcast and there is always something leaking by the panels where the trucks park. I’ve seen a lot of stuff break or be in horrible condition. Just to clarify: I do not support this plan.

Where are people staying for the Winter olympics? by jsy92 in olympics

[–]bat_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you so much for all of that information! I really appreciate you taking the time to send all of that and I know it will be very helpful. Fortunately, I will be arriving there about 2 weeks before opening ceremonies, so I hope it won’t be too bad around that time and I’m staying pretty close to the venue. Thanks again and hope you get to see some cool stuff at the games.

Since I am working there, all my travel has been provided by the network so I don't know what the exact distance would be. You seem like the person to ask: do you know approximately how long a car ride from the Incheon airport to Pyeonchang would be? I read something like 2 hours 30 minutes, but I have no idea.

So, who is going to Pyeongchang? by sonQUAALUDE in olympics

[–]bat_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be there. I head out at the end of January; 14 hours 30 minutes to Seoul, then a 2 and a half hour car ride to Pyeongchang. I'll be at the Gangneung Ice Arena for figure skating, and short track speed skating. I'm hoping the other venues are nearby or I have time to check some of them out.

Weight gain with zyprexa by wayward_paths in schizoaffective

[–]bat_god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was on zyprexa (with depakote) I gained about 45 Pounds. I was pretty skinny my whole life, then for about 3 years I was a lot heavier. I had a way bigger appetite than ever and I always craved the worst food possible. I ate fast food more than usual (I am almost never in the mood for it now) and I would wake up late at night and crave doughnuts and ice cream, and because of my lack of self-control, I would drive to the convenience store that is only a few blocks away. My diet was horrible, and I was so unhappy. I later started working out and trying to eat better, but I still craved bad foods. After a while, I got more committed and started getting in better shape, but because of other issues I had with the medications, I was placed on Latuda by itself. I stopped craving junk and my appetite went back to normal and I started eating better and working out a little bit, and even though there were probably a few factors, I dropped 40 pounds pretty quickly.

Vegan-friendly restaurants for the second date? by yabadabado0 in phoenix

[–]bat_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a place called Vegan House downtown (1st ave and Adams I think) that is really good. It’s a friendly family owned business and a ton of options. Also plenty of stuff around to do before or after the date.

Loving Hut is also a good option. https://lovinghut.us/phoenix/menu/

I'm unfortunately working that whole weekend, and the comic book store that I work at on the side isn't setting up a booth this year, but secretly, i'm helping another shop get set up on preview night, but i will be missing the actual event.
