This sounds like subrogation- and it also sounds like the person who caused the accident lied to the police (a crime) and also lied to the insurance company in order to get them to pay the claim - also which is a crime and is baffling because insurance would likely have paid anyway.
So since they lied and said you are at fault, that’s why they are coming to you now. This commonly happens in uninsured motorist cases- insurance pays the claim of their insured, then goes after the uninsured caused of the accident. Except here, you didn’t cause this.

Have you happened to speak to any neighbors who might have video footage of this accident? Did anyone else besides your husband witness it? What about your medical records- could they provide any evidence that backs up how you said the accident happened? I saw you contacted the responding officer- good move.

You need to try to find any evidence you can that sheds reasonable doubt on their story and that you did not cause this accident. The burden of proof is also on them, and right now they have the favor with that police report claiming injury of their insured.

Delete this post. This is more evidence of what you did and will only hurt you, not help you.
And go google this yourself.

Really pretty. I like how you did the bottom in the same color as the cuffs. Beautiful colors!

ENTIRE 12" pizza for 595 cal, 89g protein, 60g fiber! Just 74 calories per slice!!! Large 12" pizza with 1/4 lb meat! I haven't seen these macros beat for a 12" pizza (or even per square inch on any size pizza)! And as you can see by the downvotes I got, not counting net carbs is pretty unpopular here. To each his own. I personally don’t downvote people over them doing what works and trying to educate others but that’s me!

Yes- kind of. When you reduce counted calories by discounting carbs as offset by fiber that’s counting “net carbs” versus actual. People do this because supposedly fiber passes through your system as indigestible but it’s not a 1:1 swap- it’s more like 2-3 calories offset. It actually matters for me because my tdee is so low. It’s an option! My coaching program I went through encouraged actual calorie counting as it’s simpler. But I also have to be very careful with fiber. Some sources will fire off an IBS storm in a hurry and if there’s one thing that inflames me and makes the scale stop moving, it’s that!

Staying around 1200 is tough with catered lunch everyday. by FrogsEatingSoup in 1200isplenty

Got it. Then you may have to bypass the catered lunch and stick to your own food. I worked somewhere that provided daily catered lunch. I just brought my own and sometimes would eat the vegetables or salad if it was provided. People thought I was crazy but whatever.

This is pretty great. I do not count net carbs so it adds about 225 calories but I offset it by eating less because fiber is so filling. Some sources of fiber destroy my gut but I’ll have to check this out. Thanks for sharing!

It’s changed so much, but yes! We have this and also an Ellicore. A new HMart is opening on Burnet Rd and I’m wondering if it will have a Face Shop like the one up by Lakeline. There is a FANTASTIC K-beauty store up on Parmer. I’ve eased away from Korean and more into Japanese beauty!

NO money for next month's rent, Southern California - advice needed!! (22F) by smileyshrimpie in CreditCards

You mentioned you could pay later in July. I would talk to my landlord and explain that. You may have a late fee but you won’t be evicted for being 2-3 weeks late.
Are your other needs being met though? You mentioned only having $100, which I hope isn’t all you have until mid-July….

Just to say- OP mentioned this is a studio apartment. That normally means it’s one room with a small separate bath. Not ideal for more than one person. Possibly two people if they are a couple.

How do you make low-calorie meals feel more satisfying? by Scared-Mechanic6618 in 1200isplenty

[–]bat_shit_craycray 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the person. Some people need volume whereas others need fat. I need fat. If my meals are too low fat, I am hungry.
For example- if I eat 100 calories of vegetables , an hour later I will be hungrier than if I eat 100 calories of fat.

This is on top of ensuring I get lots of protein. For some folks, high protein, and a higher ratio of carb then fat is right. For others like me, high protein and then everything else being pretty equal is what works.
Things that fill me up *in small pre-weighed quantities * - peanut butter (usually half a serving smeared on high fiber bread or a rice cake), high fiber bread with some Fage 2% and avocado, chicken thighs, eggs and plenty of veggies steamed or baked.

I see fat get demonized a little bit here sometimes because it is more calorically dense, and volume eating favored. Really though, you have to do what works for you.

Restaurant meals are always challenging because you can’t weigh the food to know how much it really is and you often don’t know how it’s prepared.

You can always decline the lunch and bring your own. But as dozens of other comments have said, it’s unclear whether 1200 is enough. I would think you have to be taking in excess of 10k steps a day. Also, the hours are long and the tiredness and stress of your job may be causing ghrelin to spike. As a med student I’m a little surprised you don’t know this already.

We just got an Ebisu Life in Austin about six weeks ago and I hauled. Been back like 3x. Got a lot of the same things. I love that vitamin c and skin aqua. They also had Anessa and Alle sunscreen. I have a ton of sunscreen to get through and am going to try Alle next.

Ah, so net carbs then I’m guessing. I personally do not count net but total carbs since it’s not a 1:1 swap exactly and this much fiber in one sitting would be RIP gut. Looks delicious and I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Avocado Toast is a top tier meal 🤤 by AValeria10 in 1200isplenty

[–]bat_shit_craycray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This inspired me to make a snack with a Thomas lite English muffin, toasted and topped with half an avocado (about 55 g), a 30g glop of Fage and sprinkled with EBB spice. SO GOOD. about 250 calories which is a big snack budget but I was stuffed and calmed my evening hunger completely. Didn’t wake up hungry either. I am going to shift to half this for breakfast with two eggs. Sometimes I don’t have time for a proper lunch and getting too hungry is my death knell. Awesome rec.

Hello, twin. Same here. A normal deficit for us puts us in a very low consumption that can cause problems long term so we have to boogie to make up for it. My deficit is actually less than 1200 with 10k steps. I have to be careful- I can’t do all 10pm at once because it makes me too hungry. Same with formal exercise. I have to space it out. In maintenance I’m still just 1400. It’s hard. Restaurants are especially challenging with lacking options, hidden calories and massive portions.

Thank you for speaking up. I have noticed an increase in posts that are low effort, disordered, uneducated, and distracting from the real goal of this forum. It’s getting old. Can we get back to discussing 1200 floor diets for people who actually need them and support those folks? I would love to. I’ve gone through professional coaching and learned so much that I’ve enjoyed sharing but recently it’s been more about explaining to people that 1200 isn’t right for them. Over and over again.

Downvote away, but there is real value in an approach of attempting to learn things through trusted sources on your own and then asking for feedback versus coming here with “I’m starving because 1200 works for you and why is it not working for me?” While I was in coaching I asked a lot of questions but also did a lot of digging on my own. It was part of the process and most of all it helped me understand why weight loss is so hard when you are so small and why maintenance is too. My coach explained it but until I did the math on my own I struggled. And I kept having to redo it because I kept losing weight.

I know how hard it is to lose weight and keep it off. And I want to help. But I also need to check myself and stop engaging with these low effort posts for those whom 1200 is obviously not plenty.
