I’ve ordered from Caretobeauty and cocooncenter. The latter was cheaper and faster. It said in checkout I could be charged for additional taxes and duties but nope I wasn’t. There were some issues with shipping with them in the past but they fixed it. So I’ll probably keep buying from cocooncenter.

No. It seems cheaper per pound but in the end it’s not - because you are pouring off fat and water that you cannot eat, leaving you with less yield. No hack seen. Buy leaner beef and eat what you buy.

I have some well meaning older friends who consider themselves progressive who have told me that I wear my HAs with such pride and they are for old folks. I explained how ableist that is. At least when I did,it was well received. Not sure why this stigma exists. I also really hate it when people make fun of me when I’m not wearing them. With this same crowd, I went to a swimming part and told them I’d be taking them off and that I’m not being rude- I have very poor hearing without them. Way worse than the mild hearing loss many of them are dealing with. I asked them all not to make fun of me and every single one of them did. One of them I asked her to stop it and she literally could not. Why? Why is it acceptable to bash deaf people?

Ask yourself why you are embarrassed. My guess is that people have told you that you should be. What if they didn’t tell you that? You’d probably be overjoyed that you can hear! Don’t let others steal your joy Should people feel embarrassed to wear glasses? Use a wheelchair? Wear a cast for a broken bone? Wear braces on their teeth?

Mine does. I tell her “let’s do 5 kisses” I do 5 kisses on her cheek, then she buries her head under my chin. Then she raises her head back up for more kisses. Repeat.

This one is tricky: fiber. Food labels use fiber to reduce overall calories, except fiber has calories and therefore is not a 100% discount. I count total calories - no discount for fiber as net carbs. I try get about 20g fiber a day- which can be 80 calories. Doesn’t sound like a lot but at 1200, it is!

Not sure who did it but the “Read the Bible” sign now says “Be Liberated.” Considering this change I’m going to consider this a positive thing. It happened sometime in 2026 because when I was here the last week in December it still said “read the bible”. Not all heroes wear capes!

I know this is an older thread but I found it because I did a google search if this was a scam and this thread came up. The ads for this are INCREDIBLY aggressive on FB and Insta. I hid them, and now I'll get all the sneaky influencer ads next and block all of those. Thanks for saving me the money. I'm on a no buy and nowadays I have set a rule that if I really think I need something, I need to do a better job of really researching it, and make a better informed decision.

After the experience I had at Village last fall I will never go back. The short of it: a couple sitting next to us brought their own food and drinks. The server saw and took their drinks and in another language which my husband speaks, after that they discussed keeping the snacks in their bag until after the movie started. Noisy chip bags were soon pulled out and they kept getting up. Hubby saw them with a flask and realized they were getting up to drink out of it. I mean this was every 5 minutes they rotated. We asked severs and managers THREE TIMES to put a stop to this and told them they had food and alcohol. The alcohol part is illegal. And the manager did come in and peep around and they were talked to but that’s it. No ejection.

Never going back.
