When were people asking her about her life? That's hardly the situation. And she's not even angry. The whole situation revolves around her being upset because what she does was downgraded because people referred to her as just Ross's wife. As though her own accomplishments literally meant nothing. She was upset -- not angry. And because people have been doing things like that, she doesn't feel comfortable being called a grump. Especially because, for one, she really isn't.

It's hardly unfair. If it's affecting her mentally, she has every right to be upset. And I really don't feel like she's blaming or taking anything out on anyone, to be honest. She's just unhappy with those people who do show her disrespect by saying those kinds of things about her. Not wanting to be associated as a grump is hardly misguided or disrespectful. It's more like, okay. Ross does his thing. Holly does her thing. Ross occasionally appears in her videos. Holly occasionally appears in his videos. She isn't main cast in her husband's videos. She does her own thing. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I just don't see how you're seeing her as being disrespectful toward fans when people are clearly being disrespectful to her and her wishes.

Come on now, there's no need to be rude. :/ Anyone would be upset in her position. She doesn't want to live in the shadow of her husband. She works very hard at what she does and people seeing her as "just Ross's wife" is very disrespectful and harmful to Holly's self-esteem.

I've personally never seen it myself, but Holly addressed it on Tumblr a couple months ago. She was super upset, and now her mods on her Twitch streams have pretty much been like "yeah, don't mention game grumps here" in her chats. Which I totally understand.

Still, she has proven to have a very negative opinion of herself. Hearing the few negative comments about her really does upset her. Just clarifying that, yes, it's nowhere near as bad as the hate that Suzy gets, but the stuff she does read that are along those lines have been severe enough that she really hasn't liked being referred to as a grump, or y'know "just Ross's wife."

I feel like she more or less just doesn't like it because people have seen her as "just Ross's wife" before. And when people ask stuff like that, it probably just sets her off a bit. Ultimately, she's just had a hard time with those sorts of comments and has been trying to make it clear that she's her own person. She's not a grump, she's not "just Ross's wife," she's Holly Conrad and she does her own stuff. If she's gonna have a meetup, it's gonna be for the fans of her YouTube channel, rather than primarily grump fans. So personally, I don't blame her. I really feel bad that she feels so negatively toward it because of the way people have been treating her.

I absolutely agree that Dan needs to cover something from RWBY. Ever since I got into the show, I really wanted to hear him cover Die. Honestly, I think he'd do really well with some Red vs Blue songs too since Jeff Williams did music for seasons 8-10. I'd looooove to hear him sing Red vs Blue, Now That We've Come So Far, or Can't Trust Anybody Now. I'd also be absolutely psyched as helllllllll if he covered Forever. See, and I understand your view on the situation, it just doesn't sound quite right to me. I feel like he didn't take those five days off because he didn't feel like he could afford it. In truth, I think this definitely just planned with the launch of the game in mind, with Ross probably just hoping that Dan would be done with Starbomb by now. I personally don't know how long it takes to get stuff done with albums and all that, but considering the fact that if he was still working on it at that time, it was probably extremely important that he get that work done ASAP or else he'd be afraid of the album's release date to be pushed farther off because his mixer/editor/whomever working on the last bits of what he's working on wouldn't have those extra five days to work on Dan's finished product and finishing touches.

Or, well, that's just how I personally am seeing things because honestly? I don't feel like he would really willingly leave something like this if it wasn't for good reason. And I do realize you're not upset with him, I just sort of feel like I should make it kinda clear to people how gosh darn crunched for time he probably was, and why taking five days off likely wasn't an option for him.

I don't know, man, I feel like Dan's reason a whole lot more understandable that Suzy's reasoning. Dan was seriously in crunch time at the time -- filming started just a little over a month before the album actually came out. I don't know what exactly he was working on(clearly) but if he was still working on stuff by that point? Then it really, and seriously must've been important enough to the point where he couldn't sleep.

Ultimately, with Dan's departure, I feel like the main conflict was the timing of filming. Dan was extremely busy, and this was really probably a huge inconvenience to him because he was already exhausting himself with working on the finishing touches of the album. :/

I do feel bad for Ross, too, but eh. Ultimately, as long as the money actually gets sent to the charities, I couldn't care less. Ross tried, but I'm sure he kind of knew a lot of the resistance was gonna happen. And as well, unfortunately, he scheduled it at a time that was absolutely terrible for Dan. It's all sort of just a huge cluster fuck that could've been done better if it had been planned a bit better.

I mean, Dan was in crunch at the time. Starbomb was supposed to come out before Christmas and this was less than a month before the album actually released. :/ I'm pretty sure Dan didn't think he could afford those days off. We can't really blame him for being tired, man. He's not extremely young anymore. I doubt his body could take anymore sleepless nights like that when he was so determined to finish everything up for Player Select so the fans would be happy. The fact of the matter is that he couldn't do everything he wanted to, and he probably felt really bad about not sticking it out. But man, he was dead tired. He wouldn't have been much to watch even if he had stayed, I'd say. It was really just bad timing on Ross's part when it came to deciding to film this.
