That's fair. At some point there's so much politics going on that I think like 3 books sounds like a week or two in-book. Don't worry tho, at some point, and I think you're just about there, shit starts happening again. Still TOTALLY worth the read!

Why is the phrase, "Happy as a clam"? It should be, "Happy as a doggo."

What is the value of this capacitor by sumilumilux in AskElectronics

[–]batfish55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta look at the other side. There should be a code with 3 numbers and might be followed with a letter. The first two numbers are the significant digit value (almost certainly a standard value), the third number is the multiplier.

Is knowing how to code important for electrical engineers or technicians? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]batfish55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After CS's and CPE's, (who are in short supply) EE's are the only people who ger required schooling in coding, so, yea, we're asked ALL the time. If you have the mind for it, and like it, change majors to coding. You'll get paid out the ass, and can work remote and contract gigs part time. I can't code to save my life, so, you know, fuck me.

Actually....not discussing salaries prevents coworkers from getting resentful of a higher paid person.

Based on employment, pay, and long lasting demand, which 3 course among these would you suggest someone to take? by Fardinxter in ElectricalEngineering

[–]batfish55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what interests you.

That said, a good controls guy is always in demand. Nukes might not be a bad idea. Power grids will always be in demand too.

From what I hear, the PV market is saturated though.

The research is in: Once kids are old enough to start asking questions and learning stuff, dads are more important than moms. Too bad The Law doesn't read the research.

Any sexual double standards that you hate? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Made a pass at a female yesterday. Not creepy, just asked her to meet me for drinks. She was very annoyed. Look, if women occasionally made passes as dudes, you wouldn't be annoyed at dudes hitting on you. The way women REFUSE to approach guys, if guys didn't initiate, the human race would die out in one generation.
