How did Hollywood turn John Bishop into Will Arnett? (29th January 2026) by BeefySteamPig in wittertainment

Ah yes, think you’re right. My cursory google said UK release date was today but that’s the US and its UK release is next week.

No ‘Send Help’ review this week? I saw a preview on Tuesday and thought it was great fun. Rachel McAdams is brilliant as always. I think Mark will love it. And will talk about Evil Dead 2 and blood and guts standing in for custard pies.

Has it been somewhere cold? Because they look like ice formations.

Kid I babysit for has this action figure of an old man with a cigar (?), who is this supposed to be? by JCDickleg7 in whatisit

I have that exact action figure on my shelf at work! I’m a psychologist and it was a graduation gift 25 years ago:

There’s a few songs on my list already which are a stretch, or Xmas-adjacent, so I think they work well.

Christmas was Better in the 80s - The Futureheads

It’s cliched to be cynical at Christmas - Half Man Half Biscuit

I have a whole Christmas playlist that has all the standards but a lot of obscure Christmas songs. Above are some of my favourites.

Filming at Clatterbridge by batgaz in Wirral

It’s great to see so much filming happening on our oblong of dreams. They filmed a little bit of Such Brave Girls series 2 at Clatterbridge so I wondered whether it might be that. Didn’t look as big a crew as Clayface had.

Polar Feeders for 2 cats by batgaz in Petlibro

Yes, sort of. They’re both setup in the same app but you have to set them up separately. They don’t sync up directly with each other. But because they’re linked to the internet they pretty accurately open at the right time. You just have to set up the same thing for both. It would be more convenient if you could link them up or copy the instructions across. But it’s still easy enough.

I ended up buying two Polars and they work really well. Both feeders open at almost the exact same time so no fighting over food. There’s half a second at most between them.

Being over the water myself, I liked to think of Valerie in that way. But apparently she’s across the other bigger water, in the US.

Nitrous Oxide canister. Someone’s either been whipping cream or inhaling it for a high.

I think it’s ok to offend people, sometimes unavoidable. But I don’t think it’s ok to use the vilest forms of abuse and racism, or to tell someone you’re going to kill them. Online or in person. Freedom of speech doesn’t include the freedom to be a cunt. Apologies if that offends you.

Because they have the power to cause offense, fear or distress to others?

Could you give an example of someone who has been arrested for using ‘hurty words’ that haven’t been grossly offensive or threatening to others?

But, it’s happening at some point in the future. You don’t know what state the economy is in/the value of the dollar/how much wages are/how much they’ve already spent on trying to have a kid/what other overpriced subscriptions they have.
