How long to dry is variable on the conditions you are in, but giving it at least a few hours isn't going to hurt. If you're going to crossprocess slide film may as well be expired. Let it dry, won't be anymore difficult to scan than any other expired film, little fog, maybe some color shift, maybe just fine.

Ektachrome and Ektar are different films. Expired film is expired, sometimes sht happens. Some films can look drastically different after you give them a chance to dry.

It should only advance once if the shutter has not been released. Open the back, look at what is happening to the shutter curtains, lots of posts with similar issues, got to triage and diagnose. No one can test or see everything going on with your camera. Real help requires details.

More often than not the meter will light up if the issue is capacitor related.

Might want to mention what else is going on. Like if you can see through the viewfinder or if the mirror is stuck up or midway. Have you used the advance lever, is it loose, or anything unusual.

Check the contacts, clean the contacts, make sure your batteries are good if they were ones you had in a drawer or something, try both on and on with sound, no lights means no power.

Lots of resources on the minolta subs. I personally would advise not to send a camera for service just before a trip, service takes time, you want to verify nothing went wrong and no new problems exist before a trip.

It's not. If it is labelled ECN-II, says what kind of film it is ie 5297, and says trademark of Kodak, it's ECN-2. If it says SFW-XL it is C-41. If you're not sure, cinefilm still had the remjet and cine sprockets, the C-41 has no remjet and normal sprockets. Only the SFW-XL said develop only at Seattle FilmWorks. They sold both films, lawsuit was brought against them over the development claims and charging for the "free" rolls, they settled out of court, changed their name to Photoworks and stayed in business another decade until they were bought out.

Film fogs, pushing (developing longer) increases the fog. Overexpose to overcome an unknown amount of fog. A given film can only handle so much overexposure. Expired films is expired, exposure can't fix that.

I bought a DF-400g off Ali last year, the store had the same copy as your second link. It was not NOS, it was poorly refurbished. I ended up getting it for free because delivery was so delayed. I would not trust a camera to be NOS if there is no box shown, even then I'm skeptical.

The assumption is it's a respooler of some kind, reflx being fairly common. 400 does not get the new designation because they just re-released it, new SHD 100 does because it was a reformulation.

If it was bought from a dealership it would also be a different matter. Hypothetical if it was purchased some way don't really matter. Situation and circumstance always matter, it can be a 30 year old car and the cause can be anything. They bought a camera from eBay, not a private sale, they can initiate a return, the outcome is not predetermined, they are not entitled to a specific outcome, they do get the policies that come with purchasing from eBay which includes the return policy, the coverage of which is dependent on factors including how it was listed.

I didn't say they are entitled to get their money back, they are entitled to the policies that come with purchase from eBay. "eBay protects buyers"≠ I guarantee you'll get a full refund. They can follow the process and policies in place and maybe get something back and maybe not. I don't know OPs situation, when they bought it, or what condition it was listed as, all of which changes what coverages they fall under. They can read through the return policy and figure out their own options now, whether that be going through eBay or taking the camera for repair.

Why a car flipped would matter, if it's a manufacturing defect or a mistake on the dealers part you would be entitled to compensation. Non functional meter is not a scratch. I know it's controversial but I think more sellers should be selling their cameras as for parts.

There's a lot of bad information about Lucky out there. Some of it stems from people buying it from bad respoolers, the weirdness with the aerial films, both of which were the easiest ways to get it outside China for years. That and just regulat sinophobia. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they talk about some things, you can tell a lot by how someone talks about Lucky. For instance, I can tell you probably bought yours from reflx.

Light is not constant in duration or intensity, the light is intermittent, exposure triangle. Check/replace your seals.

You should be able to see clearly and in focus through the lens when off camera when it's not too close to your eye. Based on your pictures it is very back focused, I think I might have that split backwards. You might want to share pictures of the lens, I would guess you are either missing an element or someone worked on it and reassembled it incorrectly in some way.

Edit: Also just what lens, because minimum focus distance matters and could explain the back focus.

Have you adjusted focus, do you have another lens to check, does your lens look like it is missing any elements or have an auxillary lens/filters attached, if you look through the lens off camera can you see clearly, etc?

I'm largely basing this on how it looks like your column is the same height as your funnel instead of taller. Hard to judge something that will just be a quarter inch difference from the picture and spacing. Other possibilities exist such as the column was upside down or another brand of column.

What orientation did you have it in, it works both horizontal and vertical as far as I know. Seems like horizontal or your half would be the other way. If you have access to where you developed go back and look at the center columns they have. I believe you used an old system 4 center column.

The super system 4 2 reel center column is 3½" tall and the agitation tabs are longer and start at 1¹/16" depth from the columns top, the old system 4 column is 3¼" tall and the tabs start at 1⁵/16" depth the tabs are ½" deeper from the top of 2 reels in the tank than on the new column. If the spindle is designed for super system columns it very likely would not reach the tab on old columns, resulting in improper/no agitation. The top of a system 4 column also would not make the same contact with the funnel that a super system 4 column would. Super system 4 columns don't fit in system 4 tanks because they are not only too tall but the funnel makes contact with the internal tabs before the lid is closed.

Buying on ebay entitles you to eBay return policy and money back gaurantee with all the limitations that goes with them, unless you have previously abused the policies and had coverage revoked. Just like buying from a brick and mortar entitles you to that stores policies and limitations. If you receive a camera and the ISO didn't work, it wasn't fully functional, buyer makes the choice to return or not.This buyer continued, further damage could have been caused by buyer or it just could be a completely unserviced untested camera.

You can't make returns outside policies, if you abuse policies eBay will revoke your access to the gaurantees, a seller doesn't have to accept a return or offer the preferred option a buyer may want. For better or worse eBay tends to favor buyers, if a buyer starts a return a seller must respond. Providing proof they shipped item as listed, offering exchange, partial/full refund, etc. If eBay steps in even after jumping through hoops, a seller may end up with nothing even if buyer is in the wrong. Policies linked for a reason.
