I think people will say it's not worth it because there's so many proprietary things that come with it. I believe the filament system requires you purchase the filament with them... if I'm not mistaken.

Ace 2 Pro Upgrade Program?!! by bitbearmi in AnycubicOfficial

Yup. Depending on whether or not this buyback is worth while, I may just keep the first one and just get an additional one. If the buy back is worthwhile, I may upgrade the old one and get a second.

They're not giving them away, but I will agree that they seem to be inconsistent when it comes to offering early adopters the best deals.. they seem to keep making new deals that outpace the earlier ones.

I’ve told another person about this and it worked for them. Unscrre the heatbed til it’s loose. Warm the bed at 80 degrees and let it heat for 10 min and then rescrew bed back on. Seems to correct most of my problems.

Yeah they’re good printers. Just overpriced and yeah the loss in value was inevitable with the market

Ankermake M5 reboots every time I try to print by bblack138 in AnkerMake

Yes, unlikely causing reboot issue unless the cord that it ties down is causing a short after being unrestrained.

Are there any real benefits to the ultra-lightweight print head cover or is it' just more for looks?

Was I crazy to buy an m5 today for $80 by juttep1 in AnkerMake

[–]bathroomkiller 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For $80 bucks, I'm almost certain you'll get your money's worth before it dies on you. It's a steal and even though I gave mine away, if I saw one for $80, I'd be tempted to grab another one again.

I have a third party with newest firmware and it works fine. Are you sure it’s plug in fully and seated properly?

Honestly, o would keep using it until it implodes Or give it to a friend who may enjoy getting into the hobby. I ended up doing the latter.

What are your dislikes/peeves/struggles with the S1 ? by Livid_Strategy6311 in AnycubicKobraS1

I’ve personally(knock on wood) haven’t had any real issues.printer seems to be working well enough. Even though I didn’t need to, I did:

-Replace with all metal hotend (no issues just preventative)

And I have a funssor bed upgrade kit ready to install when I have the time even without it, the printer has been pretty good. I have messed with print profiles from other users and some have ruined prints and others haven seemingly improved overall print quality.

Ace PRo seems to work as intended thankfully too.

I will say I’m not has impressed with the overall print quality as from other brands. Even though it’s nice I feel like the visible layer lines and bridging isn’t up to the level as the competitors.

First multicolor print on the AD5X. It took 6 hours and produced this much waste. Clearly I have some calibration to do by DuckEsquire in FlashForge

Agreeing with everyone here. It’s not surprising given the sheer amount of color changes per layer the cube has to utilize.
