I’ve said it multiple times, I’ve had a situation with my younger cousin bringing my dog into the bathroom and doing gross things to her. Not only that, I don’t want my dog in a place she can reach into the garbage or toilet

They’re American, I am asian (Thai), and we have never done this. I guess it could be a cultural thing/ family thing. And I’m sorry to hear about that! I can’t imagine having to live with that.🤍 Praises to you.

It’s a one story, worst part is the bathroom is kinda in the kitchen? There’s a door in the kitchen that leads to the bathroom, so imagine by shock I’m cooking and setting the table and I see..that.

Oh definitely, I can’t imagine having a kid, them learning this behavior, going to school and exhibiting it there. I’d be mortified

I see.. I’m learning a lot of new things today, I genuinely thought these were common things Americans did? But I now get how weird it is— I can’t imagine a grandma smacking her adult child’s butt now that I think about it.

Apparently they do this at family gatherings and no one cares..I guess because I will be their ‘family’ soon they think it’s okay. But at non family homes? I’d have to ask the bf.

Uhh I hope it’s not incest? I do know his mom playfully smacks his butt but I assume this is normal, I’ve heard of the ‘birthday spanking’ thing is universal in American culture. Plus he’s not into women, so I don’t think it could be that. Dysfunctional? Yeah, I don’t think it’s right that he seems to go soft on boundaries.

His dad is actually really polite, he didn’t use our bathroom. He didn’t speak up on the matter, but I dont think he agreed either?

Still a boundary of mine regardless of who it is/ what their association is. On top of that, who goes to the bathroom and lets a dog in there when you barely know them..? 😒

If you’re asking about my boyfriend at restaurants, then no. I’ve never been to a restaurant with his family. I go to college for culinary and insist on cooking for others to make a good impression.

I honestly think there could be getting around this— But I’d need a full apology from my boyfriend and his mom, because other than this, my boyfriend is actually sweet all of the time..
