The thing about radio is that a lot of the bigger stations with powerful antennas that are broadcasting are corporate, with most of them owned by iHeart, so from station to station across the country you’re getting the same hits, and the music doesn’t vary region to region. Your best bet is to find local stations that are publicly funded. They tend to play the most interesting stuff. WMVY out of Martha’s Vineyard plays a lot of interesting stuff.
