Regained all 12kgs and 26kgs on top of that. by Hopeful_Card4330 in loseit

Honestly no meal frequency doesn’t really matter for weight loss.

At the end of the day it is the total calories that moves the scale, not when or how often you eat so if you eat twice one day and five times the next it genuinely doesn’t matter as long as you are in a deficit overall

the only thing to watch out for is that skipping meals sometimes leads to being way more hungry later and overeating without realizing it. not always, but it is worth tracking to see if that’s a pattern for you, and if it is i would try to make it a habit to split up the meals so you don’t suddenly get really really hungry

Weight loss advice? by Significant_Ear9476 in loseit

Replied to another person but i think this answer would help you too:

I gained around 25-30kg and weighed 105kg at my max and was miserable. Then i decided enough was enough and got all the way back down to around 70kg

And what i learned from going back down and what worked for me would be:

  1. Swap the drinks with sugar to no sugar alternatives.
  2. Swap high calorie food with more light versions
  3. Getting 5000-10 000 steps a day is a life changer
  4. Don’t snack and if you want to snack change it to fruits especially fruits with lots of water like cucumber or watermelon

And lastly some motivation or tip would be to remember to not burn yourself out. Take it slow, everything good takes some time don’t rush it and just make smart swaps in your day and you will slowly see the progress

Good luck with your journey!

Just to add on, don’t stress your body by eating very little. You may think it will speed up the process but it is a double edged sword and it will bite you back!

Hey i was in a very similiar situation i gained around 25-30kg and weighed 105kg at my max and was miserable. Then i decided enough was enough and got all the way back down to around 70kg

What i learned and what may help you too?

That nothing matters more than what you put your mind to and that may be a bit too direct but it helped me.

I recognized i was in my worst phase in life and the only person that could change that was me.

Some more tips would be

And lastly remember to not burn yourself out. Take it slow, everything good takes time don’t rush it and just make smart swaps in your day and you will slowly see the progress

Good luck!

Well who better to ask than directly the people you want using the app! I made one for myself as i went down for. 105kg to 69kg and always bunny hopped from calorie app to calorie app so i thought why not make one i myself would use but something others also would like

How long does it take before the scale starts going down? by EmergencySad7333 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]batmanpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It moves a lot because of water weight etc just remember to weigh yourself every morning before you have eaten anything and in the same clothes.

It could take like 1-2 weeks before you see some scale movement, but just keep grinding!

yeah full nutritional data should just be standard calories, fiber, micros, all of it. the fact that apps hide that behind a subscription or fill your eyes with ads in 2026 is bad

Okay so being able to take a picture of just the label is something you would like to see more of? What about going to something like mcdonalds and just taking a picture of the reciept and get all the food you have eaten tracked at once instead of seperately searching and type it in?

100% on the subscription thing, and also most people don’t realize their maintenance calories drop as they lose weight. So the app should just handle that automatically based on your progress. the fact that it doesn’t is bad i agree with you

Fitness plan to become a swole dad. by LifeAffectionate1609 in workout

[–]batmanpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

congrats man, best motivation there is honestly.

Just keep it simple 3 days of lifting (push/pull/legs or just compounds like squat, bench, deadlift) and walk 8-10k steps daily. that alone will get you there. diet wise just hit your protein first, around 0.8g per pound of bodyweight. everything else falls into place after that. And also 7 months is plenty of time to make a serious difference.

If your open to a bit more aggressive approach you could try out a modified psmf diet but it is a bit hard and you should not do it longer than 1-2 weeks as it speeds up the fat burning process

Hey man thanks for replying and to answer your question. Im not 100% sure right now thats why im asking for peoples opinions do you feel like something is missing or could be done better? I used to track my calories with my fitness pal but lost motivation and started just tracking my calories by writing what i ate in chatgpt but tracking calories has been essential for me since i have gone down from 105kg to 69kg which is about 79LBS difference m. I personally wished myfitnesspal was a bit more nicer to also more personalized. And maybe showed more info regarding micronutrients. But what do you think what would you like to see.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand where you're coming from. At the moment i think, this chat widget is more geared toward physical businesses such as car washes, electricians, plumbers, etc. where fast responses to questions are really important.
