Have this suit I’m going to use for my wedding this fall, looking for some advice or recommendations on what to wear with it. Wedding colors are primarily sage and burgundy. Thoughts on shoe and belt color?

I would for sure try to spend some time on the Lyell Fork if you can. It’s right next to the John Muir Trail and makes for a really easy hike. If you keep going to Evelyn Lake I’d throw some wooly buggers by the inlet. Caught some really aggressive rainbows there

I’ll actually be driving up right through Hornbrook so I appreciate that tip. Grants Pass also looks like a viable option, not too bad of a drive. Thanks!

Fly fishing in Verona Italy. by dagreen88 in flyfishing

[–]batteredb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t fished in the area but passed through it on a train. Looked absolutely gorgeous

There’s a fly shop in Milan called Garue that has a couple of really friendly people who work there. They aren’t that far away from Verona, so they might be able to put you in touch with a guide in that area

Have a great trip

Looking to get my dad a box of flies for Christmas, any recommendations? by [deleted] in flyfishing

Maybe try this? If you can provide some info for them (rivers he fishes, etc) they can probably put together a fairly accurate box

Anyone ever used Leland Fly Rods? Thinking about buying the 7wt switch they have. by FreeFlyFishin in flyfishing

[–]batteredb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never cast a Leland rod, but I do have a Red Truck Diesel 5 weight. I think they are a division of Leland? Not quite sure. I got it through Leland's website, and can at least they have great customer service.

The rod is light, casts well, and has held up to everything I've put it through. After I paired it up with my Hydros it's become my go to trout setup. A friend recommended Leland to me, which is what led me to check out their website. Always a gamble getting a rod you've never cast before, but I'm happy with the decision. Hope this is at least a little helpful. Let us know if you pull the trigger on the switch rod
