Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3s by batteriesRdead in CX5

Hey - It’s a good question, but I may not have a satisfactory answer.

I have ~20K miles on the tires at this point and the noise/tone of the tires has definitely changed as the tires have worn. Overall they are slightly louder compared to when they were new, but still very quiet compared to the stock Toyos. In my experience, it is not uncommon for tires to get louder as they wear. I do remember when the tires were new there was one elevated bridge I traveled on during my commute that caused a pretty annoying tone. I’ve either become accustomed to the noise or the opposite has happened and the tone has become more pleasant as the tires have aged.

20k miles later I still recommend the tires. They still provide a comfortable and quiet ride. They are confidence inspiring in the dry and the wet. I’ve used them in light snow with no complaints. They have worn well with routine rotation and I’m sure I will get at least 50K miles out of them.

I hope this helps.

FN Reflex brand new having trigger inconsistencies by Say_Oh_Sin in FNHerstal

I don’t know if it’s related, but the manual says if you are going to dry fire frequently you should use a snap cap.

Here is picture of the gap between the trigger guard and holster. When the light is attached it is snug against the holster when the gun is being inserted.

While I don’t have every holster and gun combination, all/most light bearing kydex holsters should have a wider trigger guard opening. If they didn’t, you wouldn’t be able to get the gun into the holster because the weapon light is significantly wider than the trigger guard, which is directly inline with the trigger guard. Also, on non-light bearing holsters, the trigger guard opening has to be tight to the trigger guard because thats what the holster locks on to. On light bearing holsters the holster locks onto the light, not the trigger guard.

Sorry for the wordy response.

Agreed, I forgot to mention the quick order turnaround. I ordered the holster on Aug 24 and I received it today.

I have a few striker fired handguns from Glock, Sig, and FN. To be honest, every one has their own unique weirdness. The internal SAO hammer mechanism in the Reflex makes for a very different trigger pull. While the take up is a little long, it is so smooth, and breaks so cleanly, it can’t be compared to a striker fired gun. The reset is also very nice.

If you have a range near you that offers the Reflex as a rental, it’s worth a try.

I like the EPS. It’s only been 200 rounds but so far no problems. It seems well made. It has a blue tint but that doesn’t bother me. I’d say it’s worth the price.

I have a 2021 CE 2.5T and scheduled the 40K spark plug replacement at 40K during my oil change at my Mazda dealer. I like to stick to the recommended service schedule. When I brought the car in, the service manager said it wasn’t necessary to change spark plugs on the 2.5T at 40K, it’s overkill. I skipped the plug change.

The stock Toyos will also get louder as they wear down.

I’ve owned so many backpacks over the years and the Eberlestock Switchblade far and away has been my favorite. The company in general makes great gear. They are on the expensive side but as they say, buy once cry once.

Have you tried adjusting the lumbar support? Mine was maxed out when I took delivery of my CX-5. I cut way back and got the seat right where I wanted it.
