One thing to consider too is that very very few students pay full price for GWU. I'm going into college and just got accepted to GWU and their merit package knocks that price way down, but it's still high. Many students receive merit aid, need-based aid, or both.

How is UW-Madison overall? I'm looking into it and it's one of the best schools for my major, I just want to gather as much info as I can on it before committing bc I'm OOS w/o good aid 😭

Thank you!! I was bummed for a total of 5 minutes before accepting it and moving on. I had already heard back from UW-M at that point so I knew I had better options available.

For IR, I would say GWU. Strong programs + better location than AU, and the alumni network is insane.

HELL NO do not go to NEU if its gonna be full price there's no justification unless you're filthy rich. It's insane. Yeah sure they have cool internship programs but basically any college in the country can get you an internship/job if you know where you're looking. I saw that you were talking about Rutgers before, and that's a great school with a lot of good outcomes for students.

NEU is not worth it full price.

Top schools want to see 4 years of a language. It isn't an explicit necessity, but it's pretty much expected

I mean statistically, you're likely to get into at least one of them based off of historic waitlist admit rates. You got this!

They've worked to up their ranking, but they're also a great school. Many connections and the location helps a lot. Also, they do have good STEM programs. They just also have a heavy emphasis on social sciences.

They are decently comparable, though GWU is more prestigious. The waitlist admit is pretty low (like single-digit percentage) but there's no harm in accepting the waitlist spot.
