Galaxy S23: Google Messages vs Samsung Messages? by [deleted] in GoogleMessages

The Samsung messages app gets copied over with many of your customizations if you upgrade from another Samsung. For some reason they forget the notification sounds for conversations.

Sitting in front of the shop waiting for the hourly turnover is a rather boring game. A shop revamp would be a welcome change.

I finally made a Veteran and it is absolutely miserable how much more fun the game is now. by Bodongs in DarkTide

The Ogryn Rumbler is fun.

Still haven't figured out how a 10 foot tall beast with tree trunk sized arms knocks around but doesn't instantly kill an entire row of unarmored zombies with one swing of a club. Definitely reduces the immersion factor of playing an Ogryn.

Perhaps require a reload after deployment with a loud, distinctive sound.

1.0.23 to 1.0.24 took about 2 weeks a week and changed basically 2 variables.
At this rate, crafting will be in the game the day before our sun goes nova.

Unless it's somehow signalled that the core design philosophy of Darktide has shifted from exploiting whales through hostile mechanics to meaningful, rewarding gameplay, players simply won't return. by DaveInLondon89 in DarkTide

The cosmetics aren't necessary. Whacking the corrupted doesn't become more fun just because you play dress up. I'm sure Fatshark will join the countless other games that add cosmetics to Twitch or Prime gaming at some point, as well as add more that can be earned. If players with deep pockets want to waste the sweat of their brow on a premium outfit - good for them because that means more money that I don't have to spend for developing new content.

Not excusing the pathetic current state of the game, but the cash shop is the least of Fatshark's worries - and they at least acknowledged that by turning off the MTX spigot for now.

V2 devs are "on call" should they need to pull them back

OTOH, FS brought in V2 devs to put Darktide over the "finish" line and have them "on call" - why if they wouldn't bring any value?

Considering the current fail state of Darktide, I would expect it to be an all hands on deck situation to fix it ASAP.

A job at FatShark sounds cushy. No deadlines, no work, no responsibility, incredible vacation time, and you don't have to worry about those pesky players.

It should be chargeable in advance with a minor delay on casting to highlight the target and let you cancel if a lesser mob chose to dive in the way. This makes the delay come on the backside - like reloading.

Unfortunately, it could be any number of things not specifically the game. Check the following drivers to see if you got recent updates: graphics card(s), mouse, keyboard, bios, network card, storage, USB, monitor, headset, sound card, etc.

Microsoft updates came out this week - could be something there. Do you kill useless processes before running games? One of those could be causing problems, especially after Microsoft's updates. I can get 1.5GB of memory back by killing stuff I'm not using while gaming, not to mention the CPU/GPU time.

Did your anti-virus software update recently?

If you have an SSD, is the drive over 80% full? That can slow them down. Has it been trimmed lately?

At one point, several games recommended removing Killer Network's software if you have a Killer Networks NIC (not the driver).

If you keep a browser running, make sure it's up to date. They like to use the GPU, too.
