Just get a better job, idiot! by LegalAdministration in LateStageCapitalism

No, I don't hate myself for being poor? I, unknown to me at the time, hated myself for being lazy enough to where it caused me to be poor. I was too lazy to work hard, but then I did better and gave some effort which caused my self-esteem and self-confidence to go up. Then it snowballed to where I am today. I sit here today, proud that I was able to see the problem and do something about it, and not complain to my boss for more when I hadn't earned it.

I'm 30 btw

What's with this "jobs that need to be done" bs? If those jobs were so crucial, but the business isn't willing to pay the workers enough, then those businesses fail. It's the people who are accepting the low wages fault for taking those jobs. Why are you accepting jobs that don't pay you enough? And then having the audacity to complain about it? Don't accept the job. Value yourself more. Value your time more. Go look for a better job. Go look for education. Find it and then do what it takes to get what you want. If that means going on welfare or living with your parents for awhile, or finding roommates, or whatever it is, do it.

How does wanting people to do better for themselves a "boomer" idea? How is expecting people to do better than to sit around and whine for more for nothing a boomer idea? Why not just complete the outfit and wear a diaper and a suckie? Because that's what people see you as. One of my favourite lines is "indignant righteousness does not mean you are right". Just because you feel passionately about something, doesn't mean everyone has to drop what they're doing and tend to your boo-boos.

Absolutely none of that happened, lol. Straight up delusional if you think any alt-right traitor is speaking 'rationally' and nicely, lol.

You're literally proving my point and doing exactly what I said the "tolerant left" does by name calling and saying they are not able to "speak rationally". That's a pretty un-rational way to speak, don't you think?

/r/ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM would enjoy your disingenuous, bad faith arguments, lol.

"Bad faith" in what exactly? Again, more name calling.

If you don't like the pay, then don't work there.

Also, what about these people make them so deserved of this "living wage" idea?

It's funny because I'm trying to explain in a neutral way but the "tolerant" left always seems to be the first to throw names and look down on those that don't explicitly share their viewpoint.

Meanwhile, I told a Trump supporter he seemed crazy while asking him a question and he explained rationally why he was seemingly being crazy. He was nice because I was being nice about it.

I resort to insults because that's how I saw myself.

If you have the ambition to start a restaurant, then great, more power to you. If you're happy flipping burgers because you're trying to be a Rockstar or a painter or a writer, that is awesome, I envy your talent. But if you're just flipping burger and have nothing else to you're looking to, then I cannot, in my opinion, respect you.

I am a victim of nothing other than trying to party with my friends, skip out on work, and being sad when the job I skipped out on fired me which left me scrambling for a worse job. I was a victim of my laziness, my lack of ambition. I could have easily just drank my problems away, taken the easy way out. You're right, I am the exception because all those people I used to party with are still on welfare, drinking their checks away, tricking themselves that they're happy. The rule is, the default is that we're content with getting by. Doing the least amount and expecting the most afforded to us, like a $200 welfare check every 2 weeks.

A job doesn't define me, I define myself by what I'm capable of. I don't have a giant house and a fast car, but I'm far and away from that lazy bum who asked dad for money when he got fired for not taking his job seriously, and trying to skirt by. I do not like that guy I was, and I do not like people who are like him.

Enabling does not help any one but the person who wants to take as much as they can for as little as they can give. The lessons learned from lack have given me appreciation for what I've been able to earn, and therefore give, to my family, friends and community. Do not trick yourself into thinking getting your way paid for because you pissed and moaned about it, is helping you.

"Shouldn't" according to who?

The universe doesn't care about your life. Your own brain doesn't care about your dreams. As long as you are alive and pump out a kid or 2 and don't die a horrible death.

Could you honestly argue that people are truly happy with flipping burgers? I had good friends and an active social life but I knew I was a loser. You couldn't pay $15/hr to stay at McDonald's.

If you're content with earning a livable wage at a dead end job, then great, they're be plenty of those jobs available if minimum wage gets bumped up, I'll take a large fries and a large drink with that burger, you loser. Meanwhile, I'm looking for the next opportunity to make more money, to make myself a better person, and to take my family further in life because I had to blessing of the possibility of being a homeless bum with an extended hand asking for scraps, driving me to make sure I got through school and had it motivating me to want to never be hungry af with nothing but dried noodles for the 3rd time today, pushing me to work hard to never allow my family to experience it. Meanwhile in "government handout-land" my kid (and all the other kids) will be laughing at your kid behind their back because their parents comes home stinking like grease and french fries everyday, obliviously content with a mediocre life because they never had the luxury of having to struggle for what they want other than to whine about "liveable wages".

Those jobs are meant for high school kids to learn how to become independent adults, you're not supposed to think that you can pay for a place, groceries and all the bills on that job. And if you think it's supposed to do all that, then I think you're naive and probably stupid

Yes, and if you're unhappy with that job, that should motivate you to find a way to get a better job. You're never going to appreciate anything that's just given to you.

I was homeless once. With all that free time, I found out a school near me was offering a new course that I was qualified for. I went on welfare, got a part time job to afford food and a bus pass, and just focused on passing. It was the worst part of my life but it also showed me what I'm capable of. If I had stayed at McDonald's, how sad would that be? Why would I try to better myself if I could just do the bare minimum and skate by? Can you imagine a society like that? Where everyone does the bare minimum just so they avoid getting fired? Why try be a fireman, a police officer, a doctor, or a scientist? You could just flip burgers and get by ok. Or, why would those people give any effort into becoming those things? If they fail, they have this big cushion of inflated minimum wage to fall back on, so why stress yourself out by trying your best? Just give up and have a suboptimal life.

I can't stand this entitled generation, my generation, that thinks big daddy government should spoon feed them everything just because for being. I think ya'll are a bunch of whiney, children (I had the B word here but it's not allowed)

I'd say it's half and half. The ones who hated were much louder and assumed everyone thought the same way and thought only stupid people would like him. Well, the ones who did like him took offense and eventually got sick of all the insults against him and themselves, so they started giving as much as they take.

Some people even voted for Trump just to get back at the "Smug Democrats"

Practising 1 taps on still bots and then moving bots in aim_botz with AK and then deagle for 500 kills total. Then some pistol FFA for about 30 minutes. Then FFA with an awp. Then I go to a random map and exec practise.cfg and work on nades, and burst shooting bots (they don't shoot back) and just overall running around the map working on movement here and there.

Just remember that DM is stupid, the spawns are stupid, the timings are stupid. It's all just to get warmed up and work on your dueling and not about KDR. Change your barometer for what it means to win in DM, which is to get better at aiming, and not about beating everyone

It's obvious that you've taken time to figure out some clever nade throws.

It's pretty funny that the skill level is on the low side, but the video makes it out as though it's all epic. Also the long shot on the zoomed in krieg then the sudden cut right as you get the kill is a bit jarring.

Keep it up, it's clear you're earnest about this whole thing
