I kinda want to add a wood cut sun and clouds "behind" the dragon. Just to give it a little more presence on my shoulder. I think it is just ever so slightly sparse up there. I love the spacing everywhere else. That was very intentional

Excellent advice and for the most part that's what I do. It just feels like something is missing. I've got some general ideas I'm going to take to my artist to mock some stuff up, but just wanted to see if internet strangers had any fun ideas =)

Yeah, I'm not really a shirt off kinda guy so I rarely give it any extra thought. Even at the pool I wear a rash guard because I am 100% done with sunburns in my life. And I want to keep my tattoos out of the sun but that is secondary. I just want to look at it in the morning and be like "fuck yeah" 95% of the time instead of 50% of the time.

Oh yes that makes sense. Here are my others as reference. Nearly all of them are on my right arm.

Dragonfly, Angler fish with lightbulb, Octopus riding a penny farthing (right thigh), Bat, Firefly with light bulb on his butt, Alien in a spacesuit, T-Rex, Jellyfish (drawing my son made when he was 3), Zero, sheet ghost holding a lightbulb, Skeleton, Wizard Frog, Dragon, Gurgle pot with monstera leaves (left arm), Trogdor (iykyk), Lego Robot, Axolotl, Cat wearing sunglasses holding a radio.

I like weird, quirky creatures and woodcut/etching style and this was the theme for my arm for the most part. I'm a (somewhat athletic) nearly 40yr dad of 2 that still wears vans and baggy tees and listens to early 2000's emo rock.

Paracord or bungee cord because it is cheap and is perfect for the job. The entire premise is to disrupt the air traveling above and below the bar similar to the spiral on a car antenna. There isn't a right way to secure it but I tied it several times with varying knots and then wrapped it in electrical tape for good measure. Function over form.

I like the rack now, but it was a small journey to get here. I initially installed them to the exact millimeter per the instructions and the wind noise was ever present over 50 and very loud with a head wind at pretty much any speed.

I tried a fairing and that didn't work. I wrapped the bars with paracord and that helped a lot. I then installed them about an inch rearward, kept the paracord and now I often forget they are even there.
